good stories and well written
If you like easy-to-read crime novels, these are good ones. The characters are developed well and are also relatable. Worth the read.

Page turner
I liked it because it moved right along. It was focused and a different story. I also liked the community and all the different characters.

Four well written books featuring a leading man with principles and issues. Each book was good and keep this reader interested in fining out the end of each story.

Nail Biting Action
Great writing and a lot of action with unpredictable twists and turns. Four great stories and I’d love to see the story of Sheriff Wolf continue.

Excellent Stories Crafted Expertly
I have now read the first 13 books in this series. The earliest in the series were VERY GOOD READS and kept me coming back for more. The latest titles are really EXCELLENT books, and I'll be watching for the next David Wolf books as Jeff Carson gets published and into Kindle format. Each novel has be creative, suspenseful, and well-written. Each successive title seems to get more realistic and intriguing. The central characters are interesting, flawed, maddening, and thoroughly engaging. The characters that hold the background together do so perfectly, and the scoundrels are real life characters we've met or at least read about in the newspaper. While Mr. Carson's characters go about solving complex problems, be ready to be exasperated by normal human behaviors out of even the most admirable heros in these books. We all do dumb stuff, it's just easier to see it's dumb from the reader's point of view. As I said, great reads!

Very interesting
All four books were good and I liked the characters. I got the set because I live in Denver and found the setting for the story to be fairy accurate.

You get hooked
This is the first book in the series. I’m actually on Book #10 but this series draws you in, inviting you to continue reading these adventures. While the storyline is somewhat of a saga, each book is different. There are recurring and new characters, enriching the story. The best thing about the series is that David Wolf is just a typical guy. He’s tough, smart, determined and very much a maverick. He doesn’t possess super human strength, have proven martial arts talents or is an intimidating powerhouse. This makes him identifiable and a hero by being a guy who is good at his job and devoted to those he serves. He’s not a Super-Hero. He’s simply a Great Role Model.

Easy read with great characters
These four books are a great read and exactly what I was looking for while on vacation. The main characters are likable and interesting. The plots are easy to follow which makes them enjoyable if you want a relaxing read. These books are written in a way that you either know "who did it", or can easily figure it out, but the story has just enough unknowns to keep you interested. I'll definitely purchase the rest of the series.

The David Wolf Mystery Thriller Series
A new author to me and I bought the first four book set and glad I did. The first book was a decent read but I found the books on his home ground better as they enabled him to expand the character and other characters better. I don't know if the first book was the first one Jeff had written, but it came across that way and it took a little while to get into David Wolf's character. But it was as said a decent enough read so don't let my remarks deter you from reading it, but then try the second book.So far I have read the first 8 in the series and I would say it is important to read in order as a lot of the background characters interweave as the series progresses hence my comments about the first bookIt's a nice blend of action, police work, personal life and drama with Colorado as a great backstageIt's certainly more than simply another police detective book and I look forward to reading the rest of the series, probably one of the most enjoyable new books I've read in the last couple of years

Wolf is a complex character maybe his war experience has made him so...
I enjoyed the books, so much I have bought the next 4....But I did not get a good feel for 'Wolf' he seems very apart from his team but I'm hoping he will become a more likeable character... But a good story line in all of them, especially the first book..

Whatever
A good yarn quite predictable but worth reading least it gets to see some of the country around Aspen in America sitting on in Australia and we have nothing but heat and a tidy bit of cold
