My husband and I enjoy jigsaw puzzle's, but we're not fanatics about it. We usually do one every few months. I have about 30 wooden puzzles, and several more regular jigsaw puzzles, our favorites over 30 years. I love this puzzle! The colors are great, the color palette is varied and fun, and the inking is sharp and crisp. The difficulty level is moderate, lots of fun and still challenging. This is one of my favorite puzzles, ever! The quality of the puzzle is excellent for the price, the pieces are sturdy and fit together very well, and the pieces' shapes are varied and fun. Also, I love this artist. This is the first I've seen of her work, and vintage retro has always been a fun decor for me. Because the pieces fit so well and tightly together, the lines of the puzzle pieces don't mar the actual picture, and the finished picture is great fun to look at and examine more closely.

Yeah, that headline seems ridiculous, but it is the truth. I love mid-century anything, so obviously the pictures sucked me in. This was a bit more than I wanted to spend on a puzzle, but it was worth it. Not only is the picture amazing, but the puzzle quality itself is also magnificent. There were so many unusual shapes and sizes, it made the puzzle so much fun to put together. I will be buying from this company again. I cannot say enough nice things about it. I am a little sad that I am finished with it.

As a fan of everything mid-century this puzzle was a lot of fun. As I was about to finish I saw I was missing one piece. I emailed Hennessy Puzzles and within 10 minutes received a reply directly from the owner John Hennessy. He mailed the missing piece immediately with two puzzle image magnets as a gift. I was blown away by this company’s dedication to customer satisfaction. I immediately bought another Hennessy puzzle.

One of my favorite puzzles.. Not finished yet, but it's so much fun and is coming together nicely! My husband and I are great lovers of Mid Century Modern structures and their furnishings, so this puzzle is ideal for us. This is written many months after the completion of the puzzles. I wanted to agree with another reviewer that I would love more puzzles with retro, specifically midcentury modern items—furniture, just lamps, clocks, places that existed at the time, Old Las Vegas, Palm Springs, well, you get the idea. I’m sure I’m not the only one. Kudos to Hennessey for producing these great images.

Just finished this, my second Hennessy Puzzle. What a fun challenge! Love the bright colors. As always, looking for a certain puzzle piece I become convinced that it must be missing - and, of course, it's ME that is just 'missing' it, usually finding it as I start working on another section but sometimes not till the final pieces are put in place. The puzzle pieces are sturdy, and there's enough variation in the shades and textures to provide clues to where a particular piece fits. Some of the pieces are very imaginatively shaped, so they may form only one part of that open spot with a standard shape. Really challenging, which makes solving it all that more satisfying.

This puzzle is a great project for people who really like detail-oriented puzzling. I love Hennessy puzzles because they're challenging, but very interesting too because of all of those little details. I felt a little frustrated with this puzzle because I found myself referring back to the puzzle "map" (the printed picture of the completed puzzle) for nearly every piece. I had trouble making educated guesses about where each piece went because there are so many nearly identical lines, shapes, and colors. This is a personal preference, though-- I like to just zone out while doing a puzzle, and not concentrate like I'm studying hard, but your mileage may vary! The pieces also didn't fit together very easily, almost as if whatever jigsaw cut them wasn't sharp enough or something. (I have not had this problem with other Hennessy puzzles.)All that being said -- this is still a fantastic puzzle. There are so many clever little details, the colors are amazing, and the subject matter is very interesting. I certainly recommend this puzzle with the caveats listed above.

The picture and colors are good but the rest of the quality is horrible. Too much puzzle dust, way too much, and the pieces would not stay together. I had to be super careful not to accidentally touch a section which was together for fear it would come apart. This happened numerous times. I feel like I actually worked most of the puzzle twice or more, having to constantly be putting sections back together. Sorry to say that Hennessy Puzzles has a way to go before I'll give another one of theirs a try. I'm sticking with tried and true Ravensburger and Buffalo Games. White Mountain is ok as well.

I haven't bought a puzzle in years, but this one is hands-down the best one I've ever assembled. Not only are the odd-shaped pieces fun, the artwork never gets boring because the artist has been meticulous in keeping the textures just different enough between scenes that it's easy to tell when you're trying to put a piece in the wrong section altogether. Very addictive and enjoyable; we put it together over the course of the first four days we had it. I'll definitely be looking at Hennesy puzzles and this artist for my next puzzle purchase​.Update on 2/14/18 - A few months ago we were at a funky resale shop and discovered what looked like the original painting of one of the scenes in this puzzle for sale at a decent price. Went home, put this puzzle together again to confirm, YES! Had to pick it up, along with another of the artist's original MCM paintings there.

I haven't completed a puzzle in many many years and never one this big or challenging. But, I loved every moment putting it together. Do not sit and spend hours at one time or you'll be frustrated. Do little bits at a time and then you're done before you know it. Also, I suggest separating the colors and it may help. Shapes are different but it caused for you to see things different. It was a challenge but a fun and rewarding one. Not to forget the art is amazing! I received an email from the company and they said if there were any issues they would like to resolve it immediately. I had no issues. All pieces were there and everything fit with ease. Great puzzle!

I'm thoroughly enjoying putting together the Mid-Century Modern Jigsaw Puzzle: the picture, comprised of several images of mid-century modern homes and interiors, is engaging and the puzzle is sturdy and well-made and at 1,000 pieces is challenging, but not too difficult to assemble. A separate photo of the puzzle is included in the box, which is handy if you want to use the lid to hold pieces as you're working. My only complaint, though, is that it is cropped slightly differently than the actual puzzle, so it's not much help on the outer edges.

My family has a love hate relationship with puzzles, we love the concept, but once we start working on one, it becomes a battle to finish. So, what better idea then another 1000 piece puzzle, this one fit the bill perfectly, it is well made and visually exactly what I was trying to find for a Mid Century inspired. Sure to make for another emotionally taxing, but fulfilling day.

First time doing a Hennessy Puzzle and LOVE the brand. Fun, interestingly cut, unique pieces. All go together extremely well. Crisp design and colors. Hardly any dust (not that this is a deal breaker either way, but compared to many other brands....). Loved the kitchy 50's vibe and modern theme of this one. It seriously is my new favorite go-to puzzle maker.

Because we love all things Mid Century Modern AND we really loved the montage of separate images we couldn't wait to get this puzzle. Sadly, the puzzle quality was just so terrible we ended up tossing it in the recycling bin. I'd love to have this puzzle if it were manufactured by a quality puzzle company.

I purchased this as a gift for my sister-in-law who loves Mid-Century Modern design and also putting together puzzles. Who knew I could cover both bases with one gift?! Just perfect.

We really loved this puzzle and could not stop working on it. We lost sleep two nights staying up late and finished it in three very long sessions over the holidays. Cool mid-century scenes and good quality for the price. Highly recommend it.
