There was no external carton and one of the speaker boxes had a huge hole, luckily the speaker driver was not harmed.

I'm glad, I get to be the pioneer, they really great clarity & better bassdepth than Adam prolly jbl has technologies while Adam did not, I use fender trs to trs cable & that's what you would require if you want to cancel the white noise, would advise to cut the eq of monitors a little. Though I can say that Adam is great when it comes to treble.It's better to get 6" cuz I read somewhere there's a lot Sonic loss on 5". & Yes krk sucks that's why I didn't even talked about them.

The speaker is awesome. I will have to order one more now to make it complete one pair. I have applied this one speaker to my Topping TP 22 amplifier. Its sounding complete and even beating my home theater, i am wondering what will happen when i will add one more and make it 2 channel.Now I am updating my review after around 4 months. This single speaker is bombastic, feels like as if DJ floor. Crystal clear sound reproduced provided by topping tp22 amp. For a room of 10x10 single speaker itself is more than 1.5 times. It makes my amp complete I can now feel as if I am inside a concert or DJ floor.

Wooowwww....I can't explain about the feel after it connecting with jbl LSR310S sub. Great speakers for mixing and recording and for listening of any genres of music. You can go for it without a second thought.

These are quick and easy to get a really good audiophile level speaker set up done since they come with amplifiers in built. Balanced frequency response so neither bass nor treble is elevated, but at just the right levels. Bass packs a powerful punch and treble is sparkly yet not bright. Mids are great too and vocals and guitars sound amazing.Perfect for monitoring/music listening, however if you're planning to buy 2 to use with TV, then you might want to look at different speakers, as I found that the dialogue volume is low as there's no proper center channel. I'll still prefer them over any soundbar of even double the price. But for music these are absolutely mind blowing. I have expensive, just below top of the line level earphones (Empire Ears spartan IV, and before that had Audeze iSine 20) that these speakers are actually comparable with, beating them in bass presence and impact easily, and not being too far behind in detail retrieval either.There's a good soundstage if you position them (assuming you buy 2) properly as per the instructions. It feels as if you're right in front of the stage where the band is playing. but even if you don't position very well, the sound quality doesn't diminish too much, other than the soundstage becoming worse.They're very easy to connect to any audio device or TV/Laptop, but you'll have to get a 6.3 mm mono splitter cable like the UGREEN 3.5mm 1/8 Stereo TRS to 2 X 6.3mm 1/4" TS Mono Y Cable Splitter Cord to connect your laptop/TV's 3.5 mm out port to the speakers. They only come with a power cable. I also had to get a 6.3 mm cable extender since the ugreen cable is very short from the split end. If you have a receiver or a dedicated DAC, then you need to connect mono L/R output from the analog "unamplified" output ports as these have their own built in amplifier.

I bought a pair of 308p mkii and it was provided with French socket power cable. It's been a complete nuisance since there's a grounding issue. Rest is fine. I appeal to the company (Harman industries) to provide with proper cables to go with the speakers since it's very difficult to connect and start going.

I have a pair of Genelec monitors, but these JBL 305p Mkii compare quite well to my genelecs which costs a lot more than these. The looks are sleek, which i personally don't prefer and would have preferred a matted version. The sound is relatively flat and they are very quiet with low self noise. They turn off automatically if no audio signal is detected and comes ON when signal is detected. The low end is not quite there, but it is to be expected with 5" woofers, i didn't try the bass tilt switch. Overall, i am quite happy with it and would definitely recommend it to others.

Brilliant buy! Yes, it's tab big if you have a small desk and what to be used as you comp speaker but hei! It's wow.

Der Sound ist klar und nicht zu basslastig. Der Klang wird gut im Raum verteilt.Wer die Boxen aber nicht mit Studio Equipment betreiben möchte sollte beachten, dass die Boxen nur mit XLR oder Quarter-Inch anzuschließen sind. An einen PC oder ein Handy können sie also nicht so einfach angeschlossen werden. Ich habe sie an ein Raspberry-Pi mit Hifiberry DAC Pro + mit XLR angeschlossen. Auch an mein Keyboard lässt sich eine Box problemlos per Quarterinch anschließen.Leider haben die Boxen ein relativ hohes Grundrauschen, dass aber deutlich besser wird wenn man auf der Rückseite den Schalter für die Inputtoleranz richtig einstellt und die Eingangskabel fern von Stromkabeln hält.Das Stromkabel ist ziemlich kurz, sodass man mit ziemlicher Sicherheit Verlängerungskabel benötigt.

Comencemos por lo bueno!Edito: Ya tengo los dos altavoces para comparar.1- Para su tamaño y precio, tiene unos graves agradables sin ser invasivos. Podría ser mejor, pero para un driver de 5" esta bastante decente.2. Los controles son intuitivos y su EQ es parcialmente cierto. Los filtros shelving tienen algunos errores pero nuevamente, bastante decente.3. Me parece que tiene una escucha agradable, aunque tiene bastante brillo a partir de 12kHz (Ver la medición). Probablemente al mezclar hay que tener en cuenta estos defectos o tener en el procesador un filtro paramétrico de unos 6 dB (en el DAW o un procesador físico)Lo malo:1. La respuesta en frecuencia de graves es mencionada hasta 40 Hz en su spec sheet, que es muy probable debido al pico que observamos en 50 Hz en la medición. Ojo, no es una respuesta en frecuencia plana. Esto hace que en los graves no sea tan preciso y tal vez comprar un subwoofer es muy buena idea (y hacerle su repectivo corte a estos altavoces).2.El spec sheet menciona 108 dBC. Esto es falso (a medias, me imagino). El máximo nivel alcanzado SIN distorsionar fué de 100 dBSPL. Me imagino que es posible llegar a ese nivel mencionado por el spec sheet distorsionando y casi reventando los drivers durante 1 microsegundo... pero en el ambito de lo práctico, es impreciso este valor.3. Los altavoces no son completamente consistentes entre si. Pueden observar en las imagenes las diferencias. Hay cerca de 1 dB de diferencia en las altas frecuencias y una caída importante en la coherencia de la parte de graves. No es un asunto que sea difícil de arreglar (al menos en alta frecuencia), pero se notan los límites del altavoz y su construcción de drivers.4. La fase presenta un retraso grupal importante, sin embargo musicalmente el "time smearing" es practicamente nulo.En conclusión: Un altavoz bastante bueno considerando su uso en estudio amateur o escucha y su relación calidad precio: $2100 pesos mexicanos.¿Es posible usarlo en un estudio profesional?Seguro, pero hay que tomar en cuenta las alteraciones en baja frecuencia y alta frecuencia. Un procesador o un EQ de mínima fase en nuestra cadena puede ayudar a aliviar estos defectos.Para quien tiene curiosidad sobre la medición:Los instrumentos de medición fueron- Microfono DPA 4007- Focusrite 2i2- SIM3- Smaart v8Las señales de medición fueron- Ruido rosa (con factor de cresta de 12 dB)- M-Noise (para medición de max SPL)- Sweep de 10sLa medición fue realizada en campo cercano intentando simular un ambiente semi anecoico.La medición de SPL y distorsión esta basada en el procedimiento señalado para M-Noise.

Been using the same speakers (Altec Lansing) since God made Moses until I stumbled upon the JBL 305 for music production. The most I ever spent on studio monitors/speakers. I bought a pair and they were worth it. The product looks just as advertised. The sound is very clean and crisp. I do recommend investing in an audio interface to get the most out of these bad boys. For the people who experience buzzing sounds at higher volume levels, this can be easily resolved with 'grounded' 1/4 inch TRS cables.
