Good idea, but needs improvement.
I have tried several times to use this item. It is too soft, and will not go into the ear far enough to do any good. I know it has to be soft to prevent damage to the ear, but it needs to be a little more firm. My ears itch and there is a lot of wax in them, and I do not like using Q-tips, since some times I go a little too far. I liked the idea so I ordered it, but I have been unable to make it work. If there is a secret to using it then pleasse let me know. It needs to be more firm, but not hard enough to heart the ear, like Q-tips.

Not worth buying
This product actually deserves 0 stars. I purchased it as a refill to the original smart swabs that I bought. The original works great. This replacement, not so much. The tips are too long and flimsy, the tips do not fit on the bases they came with (but they did fit on my original base), and they don't clean anything!
