Good rod for bait fishing
Great rod for the price, I fish bunker chunks with 5oz of lead, the rod loads nicely and cast a fair distance, the main reason I like this rod is that it is not a telephone pole, most rods that can cast over 8oz are very stiff, this rod has a good amount of flex when fighting a fish, it also cast lighter baits good, nice all around rod for bait fishing with heavy lead and bait, would not use for a plugging rod to heavy and stiff for that, would be exhausted after 30m

Tica 2 piece medium surf
Finally got to use this in some light surf on cape cod and what a great rod. The two piece is super easy for transport and I pulled a couple 10-12lb stripers from the surf no problem at all. I have this paired with a Daiwa BG 3000 and I can cast it all day, lightest setup I can imagine. Most importantly for me, it casts a 1oz swim bait extremely far. FYI I would not cast anything over 1.5oz on this rod without feeling like it might break. I waited a while to buy this and wish I grabbed it sooner.

True Beef Stick!!
Got the 12 Heavy matched it with Penn Spinfisher V 7500LC with 30 lb. braid, used 4 oz baited with 2 oz shad chunk and it casted out well beyond my expectations. The tip is not thin tapered so if you are into chunking 1-3 oz chunk bait in the surf or river, this is your ticket, this is a brute, beefstick, thunder rod, etc.. you will find names for it. I would not recommend it for fast action pencil popper, if you use a 6-10" 4-6 oz top water and let the current carry it out, this will handle easily.

Nice rod for casting plugs & bucktails from jetty
This is the first Tica rod I've bought , and to be honest I've been using older less expensive rods for many years. Overall I'm very pleased with this rod. It's lighter and thinner than most of the surf rods I own. The reel seat is great, I ;m not constantly tightening it like I have to do on other rods I own. the reason I'm only giving it four stars is something feels a little loose in the butt end. I'm not sure if its the reel seat or the butt grip, but I feel a slight amount of twist when I cast. I don't notice it all when retrieving or fighting a fish, only in the cast. Other than that I've it's great. I've caught some nice size blue fish with this rod and would buy this rod again based on my sanctification with it so far this spring

Tica Dolphin TC3 9' comparison to TC2 9'
I love my Tica TC2 9' that is paired with a Fin-nor BT60 w/ Daiwa J-braid grand x8. It casts a 4oz pyramid weight like butter. Even better than my St. Croix 10'6". So I purchased the same thing for a reel and line and went for what is claiming to be the better rod. Can I say the TC3 is better than the TC2, yes. By how much, there really isn't to much of a difference that is overwhelmingly noticeable. I can't cast it any further than the TC2. Just my personal opinion and experience. Also the price is $40 more for than the TC2.Now about the rod itself I feel can handle a big fish. I haven't caught any stripers over 21", but I have caught a ton on it already and it is a fun rod just like the TC2. It was shipped okay, but made it unscathed. Just like the TC2. Bottom line, it's a great rod I feel. I liked this rod so much that I retired the St. Croix after this purchase. I am going to say the TC2 2-8oz 10' is the best option. If you are looking for that little bit more backbone and strength.Best rod I have used is the Shimano Speed Master 11'. That rod I can chuck a 4oz an extra 20-30 yards.

Good rod for back bays/schoolie bass
Quality is in the name, Tica is one of the best rod companys I own products from.. package arrived as expected rods are in fine shape... packaging was a little disappointing as the rods were in plastic bags with buddle wrap on the very ends with rubber bands, and the shipping box was empty with the exception of maybe a notebook size piece of brown packing paper to "prevent movement"... but all small things aside rods look great as I will continue to keep buying tica rods

Pretty good rod, for a spinning rod...
I’m more of a casting rod guy, but I bought the Tica 9’ dolphin surf rod in medium weight for a 4000 OC Shimano bait runner reel I was wanting to pair up. I spooled on a 30# power pro braid and went to the beach. With a 2 oz weight it really hucks it out there. 3 oz. and an over aggressive cast MIGHT be the limit for this rod blank. If you’re a smooth caster and not trying to hang a huge bait, I think 3 oz is doable, BUT be careful, and don’t let Bubba try and distance cast your new rig, if you know what I mean...!

Not bad for a store bought rod
Can't go wrong with this Tica model.I've owned a 12 & 9 foot. I've caught countless saltwater fish in the gulf of Mexico using the TICA ugsa and never had a problem. This 8" rod should work perfect for channel cat in Ontario Canada.Great quality and very durable.

Very tip heavy.
Nicely constructed rod, but it is very tip heavy and the cork handle is very thin and feels too small, even for my smallish hands. I had to put 3oz of lead on the butt cap in order to balance it and wrap the bottom cork portion with electrical tape and then put a shrink wrap grip over that to make it feel comfortable. Now it's perfect.

Magnifica caña
Excelente calidad, muy ligera, excelente respuesta, lances precisos, quizás sea ideal para señuelos de mas de 3 onzas.el carrete no se alinea perfectamente con las guías lo cual no afecta los lances, detalle menor.

Wow! Un must pour le prix... ...
Wow!
