Not worth the price
The plot is the Dark judges (demonic creatures who believe that crime is committed by the living therefore life is a crime) get loose on a colony world and kill everyone except for one survivor. Now wait for the sequel. While you're waiting, here's 30 pages of sketches and covers. It's a handsome book with a striking cover and painted art by Nick Percival. But there's really nothing clever or interesting in the story. Even Percival's art gets tiresome, the muddy palette makes everyone every scene look alike. And the fact that a third of the book is sketches only makes it feel padded.Maybe after another book or two a collected edition might be worth it but for now this can be skipped.

The worst Dark Judges story to date
Underwhelming.Absolutely underwhelming. If you are looking for a bit of Dark Judge action, opt for literally any other story.Dark Justice, whilst relatively flimsy and adding nothing new to the mythos, at least had stunning artwork. What you have here is muddy, dingy and frankly blurry artwork that just made me squint, trying to work out just what the artist was trying to convey. John Wagner - honestly, unless there is something great or new for Death and the crew to do, leave them be.What was also a killer (ho ho) was that a substantial portion of the book is given over to concept sketches - that had the actual story been any good, would have been a nice touch. As it is, I just came away feeling a bit short-changed.One for completists only.

An OK book.
I purchased this on the back of Fall of Deadworld, expecting it to be on the same par. And where it's an OK story, with artwork that maintains the truley macabre direction the Dark Judges are currently going in, I felt a bit let down by it. It's just a bit small, and all the extra artwork at the back added nothing to the experience. This should be a £9.99 book, and even then I think it would be expensive for what it is.

Worthy sequel to Dark Justice.
Beautifully drawn horror story as the three remaining Dark Judges (Fear was captured during the events of Dark Justice) bring their twisted philosopy to the galaxy's unluckiest colonists.

The crime is life
Being a BIG dredd/dark judges fan I obviously loved it. The art work is stunning, so much attention to detail. It really brings you into the story I find. The only issue I have is that it wasn't long enough, it left me wanting so much more. With 15 pages of extra art I thought that was too much filler.
