Perhaps it's my fault for not really looking at standard bed measurements vs. quilt size...I don't know. We just purchased a Queen size bed and I was excited to order new bedding. (Don't get me wrong, I love all the work that went into the handmade quilts we've been sleeping under for years, but finally getting to pick my OWN style was exciting.)So...softness. I've seen some complaints about it not being soft. Like I said, we've been sleeping under well-washed, handmade cotton quilts for years which kind of define softness and I would still describe this as soft enough. Obviously a little stiffer, but overall comfortable.Weight: Comparable to a lightweight quilt. I don't like heavy blankets and this was perfect. I think I could sleep under it in the summer. Winter will definitely require an additional layer.Looks: Oh my stars, this is exactly what I wanted. Not plain, but not a color or pattern that was overwhelming. We got the navy/white and I felt the colors were true to the picture.The only downside...this spread is small. If you want a nice overhang on the sides and end of your bed, you MUST order a size up and get a king. Ultimately I'm not picky enough to try to send this back (plus I already pre-washed it before putting it on our bed), but if I did it over I'd go up a size. We've got maybe 3 inches overhang at the foot, and that's without it pulled up the full way, maybe 6 on each side? Not enough to cover the sides of our mattress. Again, not picky. I love the design so we'll use it for now, eventually it will end up on my kid's bed (our old full mattress) when he leaves for college and will make a lovely guest room.

I had an old worn quilt that I bought at a thrift and I hated to throw it away because it was perfectly thin and soft. It started to rip after a few years so I wanted a replacement. This new light weight quilt is actually quite soft even after the first washing. I love that. I just thought that the retail full price was very high for what it is but I got it at a discounted price so it felt like a good enough value this way. Aside from high retail price it's a beautiful neutral color/pattern, very subtle. Soft and comfy. Queen size came down over the sides of my standard bed in a good way. I had purchased a nicely stitched high quality quilt recently on amazon and returned that one because it was stiff and the design was too puffy. This new one is more what I was looking for and I'm grateful for Amazon's policies and customer service.

The quilt is beautiful and appears nicely made. I just haven't enjoyed the polyester filling. I feel like I can tell that it doesn't breathe at all, and I am much sweatier sleeping with this than any of our previous quilts. I wish it was 100% cotton.

I’ve had this set for over a year now and I love it. It’s held up well. The yellow isn’t as vibrant of course but is still perfectly bright. I’m very pleased

Pictured is the king sized on a queen sized bed. It's perfect on the sides, but was long at the bottom, so I pulled it up towards the headboard folded it back. Before I did that, it completely touched the ground at the foot. This is a standard metal frame with feet, a box spring, and a hybrid foam/spring mattress I ordered from Amazon that came rolled up.The colors are very muted, but nice. Shown right out if the package without washing or ironing. No smell. Yes, it's lightweight. There's no lining, so of course it is. It doesn't feel cheap, just not lined. I have a flat sheet and a fleece blanket under and it should be perfect, even in our Illinois winter. Assuming it holds up, I'm very pleased.

Bed. I tried the pattern in both directions, and in neither direction my 14.5” mattress is properly covered like shown in many of the photos you see on reviews (either cover the foot of the bed, or the pillows, but not both), much less has room to fold part of the quilt on the length like shown also in some photos. Not for my queen size mattress.. Maybe for a thinner queen mattress. Also the pillow cases are rather small for a queen size pillow. Mine look overstuffed and bumpy instead of nice and flat. Didn’t happen with my old quilt.Now to be fair, it is a nice looking thin fabric quilt. I just would’ve hoped it looked better on my bed. Washed it before use (delicate of course), so can’t return.

This is the second time I have purchased this bedding set, I just love it’s so much. The quilt is soft, lightweight and has a beautiful design.
