Ferrari (First Gear)

This is an excellent photographic review of Ferrari road cars through the years, but there are some unfortunate editing or typographical errors:--The "308s" shown in the first photo in its chapter are actually 328s, a type which isn't even mentioned.--The "512M" version of the Testarossa primarily featured in its chapter is actually a 512TR, the second iteration of the series. The photo on the next page is of an actual F512M, the closest one actually gets to the fictitious "512M" designation.--The first photo shown in the 550 Maranello chapter is actually the same F50 illustrated in its own chapter.It's rather unfortunate that the publisher apparently didn't employ a proofreader experienced in Ferraris, because these errors would have been easily caught. But if you are willing to overlook these gaffes, this book is colorful and eyecatching.

Book is very informative and good art work; however I am always looking for more information. I think it is getting to the point is that I read about all there is to read about the subject.

If you are a FAN ! of Ferrari, this is a new book to get. If not, just drive on.My best story about Ferrari is along time ago when my son and I were standing next to a TestaRossa andhe said," … you know when we first started looking at Ferrari, we could've afforded this one … " Out of mouths of children.

Any Ferrari book will have the colorful pics (some of which come from other books I have on Ferrari), but the errors in text and misplaced photos are far too numerous for any book. The section on the 550 has photos of F50 and 512TR. It almost looks like the book was never proof-read. Ferrari enthusiasts will find the errors immediately and it is very disconcerting. One or two goofs is acceptable but this is systemic. Shame, because it could be a nice little page turner.

Great book. It contains the information on the model Ferrari that we're saving for. The references inside confirmed and helped us decide which car will be right for us.
