Upgraded Lifetime Appliance WE1M462 Rear Drum Bearing Sleeve Compatible with General Electric (GE) Dryer

This fit perfectly on the back of the tumbler and we now have a quiet non-squealing dryer. Only took about 30 mins. We are definitely happy with this purchase.

After hearing the terrible squeaking noise from my GE Dryer, I had to find the problem. Happened to be this rear sleeve. Completely worn out. Replaced and works perfect now. Highly recommend

Dryer model DWSR405EB3WWFit and works as it shouldhow to replaceUnpluf power cord!1: open door remove two screws under the lip that holds top cover down. Lift up and pull top off2. Close door. Remove two screws on upper left and right that hold front cover.3. Pop dront off carefully. Disconnect wires on door.4. Pull belt off tension pulley. Remove drum and swap little black part.

This guy was *not easy to get installed, but I'm not entirely sure I was doing it right. There was a ring on the end of the bearing stud that made it hard, but long story short I got it on there. Used some super lube silicone to get it done. Regardless, it's the right thing for the GE dryer, and I feel better that when fixing what was broke, I replaced this part while I had it apart. Win.

Second one I've purchased. Both lasted only 5 months. Save yourself the time, hassle, and money and get the original or a different brand. This plastic is crap and will not last. Compare my image to the product picture and see how the plastic completely eroded in just a few months. Probably not even safe to use in a home.

Easy to install once you get to where it has to go. I replaced this part about 2 years ago and the original one was completely shot
