perfect for a spaghetti lover as me
I have only used this cooker once for a boneless leg of lamb that came out perfectly, and with so much food in refrigerator and freezer I will not be needing it for quite a while. I do have over four dozen recipes I had copied out of the Taste of Home Slow Cooker Cookbook I gave to my sister, including recipes for my own spaghetti sauce, perfect for a spaghetti lover as me. I did find the color to be not quite a coppery as the picture made it look, but I decided that was inconsequential as the cooker itself was in perfect shape with an easy-to-use guidebook and I am sure this cooker and I will get along. If we don't, I will update this review.

Great Slow Cooker
I have two. I love the rubber gasket and lock down lid for transport. If I could improve the design I would give it a longer cord and an "on" light. But it cooks nicely and is very easy to clean.

Great Slow Cooker
This is my second Hamilton Beach Stay or Go 6-Qt. Slow Cooker. It is large, cooks well and the locking handles are great for transporting. The handles are slightly different on this newer model but lock the same. My first one was the stainless steel finish and my second one is the new copper finish, which is really nice.

Very pleased with product
My Crock pot died. Well, it _was_ 15 years old! I went shopping locally and all I could find was black and stainless steel and I have an all white kitchen. I wanted a 6 quart capacity, did a lot of searches and found this item by Hamilton Beach. I did not know the lid was vented, but that does not seem to diminish it's cooking abilities. The locking lid must be vented or pressure would build up. I was not interested in a programmable/computerized slow cooker, so the price and features really fit the bill. The locking lid is good for taking food to potlucks, etc. and the lid and liner go thru the dishwasher just fine. I do not heat dry my dishes; I pop the door after the last rinse cycle to save energy. I don't think I would heat dry the lid as it might damage the rubber seal. I'm happy with this as a replacement for my old school crockpot. The oval shape is better than the round one I had for fitting roasts and chicken, etc. if you want white and don't want a programmable item, this is the way to go.

Ok
It's good, does what it was meant to do. Just wish slow cookers had a built in timer or something. Ours came with a very small scratch on the outside, and a black nick on the ceramic bottom, but probably not worth returning for.

Worth every penny
Fantastic! I purchased this to replace my very old and very broken slow cooker and I couldn't have made a better choice. The unit works great, heats evenly and the copper finish is lovely and so unique in a world of stainless steel. My only complaint is minor at best and it's that the clips are attached to the cooking base and are not removable. As I said, a minor issue that doesn't detract from how sweet this is.

I can't in good conscience recommend this particular appliance
I bought this slow cooker last June. The first time that I used it I cooked a roast, and it worked perfectly. I fixed a meal in it for a second time, and it took twice as long as it should've to cook until done. I thought that maybe the low heat option was faulty. I put chicken in it this morning, and I checked on it four hours later to find that it was still raw and cold. The slow cooker is completely dead. I can't in good conscience recommend this particular appliance.

Don't know what I did without it!!!
I have never thought of a crockpot for myself seeing I am the only one in the house. I am 64 and, although people have told me to get one for a year now, I refused. Then I visited a friend who made wonderful sweet potato veggie soup in her crockpot. Since it had no dairy products or meat in it, which we are on the plant-based McDougall program, she left it on warm for 3 days and it was wonderful!! We ate it all day long!! I ordered one as soon as I came home. I loved this one as I was told to get a carry and serve, manual and this one was in white which matches my kitchen. I have been using it for 4 months and absolutely love it!! After a day, I do take some out and freeze it. All in all, I am very pleased and happy with it :)
