I see that some buyers have had trouble with the fit, but I'd blame that on variability in the case manufacturing process. The insert fit my case perfectly, albeit with help from the ribbed rubber band that came with the insert. I did have one concern as the clock wasn't working when I first put a battery in. Using standard repair technique, I gave it a few firm, but not excessive, bumps on my palm and it sprang into life and has kept perfect time since then. I guess something in the works vibrated into a stuck position during transport. All good now.

PRO: I like the price, clarity, font, hands, easy access to the battery. Looks great in my clock support.CON: I was not please to have to replace this with a new clock after the old clock started to skip time, etc. (yes, I changed/tested the batter, cleaned off the already clean contacts, adjusted the contacts, etc.... After 2 years of good service, it started to hang up when the minute hand climbed from 9 to 12! (it appeared to be a loose of worn gear)REC: Since I purchased the SAME unit, again, I would STILL recommend this clock for its style and operation!-RadioRich in NH, USA

I purchased this to replace a similar clock that stopped working. I measured the opening and clock carefully, to find the right size for the replacement. It looks nice, but comes with a rubber band-type wrap to create a snug fit. Problem is that it was too snug and would not go into the opening without causing the rubber band to roll up and bulge outside the rim of the clock. I ended up cutting off 2/3 of the rubber band and taping the edges down, so it would fit properly. (It was still too loose without the band all together.)

Did research and read a lot of reviews. This is (so far - it's only been a few days) true to form and right on time. Fit was perfect - 3" hole. and 1/8 inset for outer trim. Delivered, battery put in, then put in my holder. Perfect. Rubber ring did not cause a problem with insertion and made the fit snug.My BIG THING WAS SILENCE. This is the best. The ticking is so low that you have to put your ear right to it to hear anything. Great for those silent nights.

Got a Kit to build a Stereo Blue Tooth speaker box from Rockler Woodworking. The kit was just the electronics. You build your own enclosure. So I added this clock to mine. I was hoping the gold bezel could be removed so I could paint it Black, and it was. Just a gentle counter clockwise twist and the Bezel came off. Behind the clock is the Battery and Blue tooth circuit board for the Speakers. So the Clock also acts as a access point for that stuff.

It took me a long time to order this insert clock. Reading all the measurements I wasn't sure it would fit. Finally I decided I would buy it and if I needed to make a spacer to fit I would. Well it wasn't a problem, it fit perfect and didn't need the little gasket it comes with. At last I can use my little monkey clock and this face is better than the first one, easier to read and a second hand. Love it.

It has been disappointing trying to find a clock shop in my town. I was excited to find an insert for my decorative bathroom clock at Amazon. I was even more excited that I ordered the right size the first time. The clock has easy to read numbers; and so far, the timing appears to be accurate.

I measured my clock space very carefully, and was really excited when I found a clock that would have seemingly fit perfectly… When I tried to put the clock face in, the clock without the rubber band was a little small and was a little bit loose in the space… But with the rubber band, it was to big and didn’t fit at all. When I did manage to make it stay, the rubber band was bulging out of the side… Very disappointed.
