Great value!!
Back in August a sweet 23 lbs 2.5 yrs gal joined our family. She was well loved by her first family. I noticed right away that she always breathes loudly while riding in the car. I thought it was due to the temperature. But with max AC and later on a drop in a the temperature, she still does that. The I realized that she was anxious.I tried soft music, calming chews, calming hoodie, holding her hand while she rides in the front passenger seat, and a combo of two or three of the above... She starts panting as soon as I start the engine. She also keeps looking out from the backseat. Is this a sensory issue, that there's too much going on, the sound, the movement of my car, and all the other things moving outside...? Only one way to find out. This soft crate fits in the backseat of my small SUV behind the driver. It definitely helped, she wasn't panting as hard as before. I left the front curtain rolled up because I thought it was important for her to see/feel me. When it got cold in December, I decided to cover the front which means only the entry way is viewable. It made the situation ten times better. It was a sensory issue.Someone here was asking about securing it to the car. The crate has a top handle-loop and four small loops on the bottom for stakes. You can use the hook up the bottom loops (close to the seatback) to the seatbelt buckle using the tethers. You can also run a strap through the top handle-loop and anchor it to the driver seat headrest and a backseat headrest. For additional cushioning, I put inside the crate a self inflating camping pad that no longer holds air for me.

Affordable
Very handy to transport pets or crate train. It would be nice to be able to open it at the top, but the side entrance works.

Great for traveling with well trained dogs. Not suitable for anxious dogs or puppies in training
With 6 dogs in our home, crates are a must. Of course we have the usual plastic ones and two custom made solid steel crates that weigh over 100lbs each - those are for special rescue rehabilitation requirements and are big enough for two Mastiffs to lie down in. We have a large Plott Hound and a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog who travel with us fairly often and I hate dragging the big plastic Vari-Kennels on the road. I wanted a light weight, portable crate I could use with our mature, well trained traveling dogs for hotel rooms.I bought two of these - one in the 32 inch size and one in the 38 inch and I have to say that we've been seriously impressed with them after 4 months. They pop up and zip together in like two minutes flat, the side windows open for ventilation and they fold totally flat with zero real effort. The included mat is soft, but I still add our own comfy beds. Once these are in the flat carrying cases, they slide into the floorboard of our truck and luggage goes on top, dogs go on the back seat and we hit the road. I've used these crates in hotel rooms, our cabin in West Texas, at a friend's house and as shade out at the lake for my dogs. These are in no way suitable for an anxious dog, a young puppy, or an untrained dog - they are made of fabric and can be chewed through or clawed open in seconds. You need a real crate for those situations. However, for a dog that understands a crate as a temporary, safe den and place to enjoy a meal or a nap in peace without drama, these are great. Be sure to measure your dog and buy the crate that offers him a little extra room - our Swissy has the 38" unit and is very comfortable sleeping, standing and turning in it. The Plott Hound sleeps curled up in a ball and the smaller version suits him well.

50/50 review
I received this dog soft sided crate for my golden retriever. The measurements were spot on and I adored the fact that it was tall enough for him. Where some other kennels are shorter.I this it is great it is water proof. However I felt the the fabric would be easy for a dog to rip and was very loud. It was a bit of a struggle to push the poles together and apart and pinched my self doing it.The frame was nice and sturdy once I got it together. It only has a front door and a top door that unzip. The fabric that is on the doors, the mesh, is not as tightly weave as my other kennel and felt as if it would rip really easy. If you do not have a sound sensitive dog, this kennel would be fine. Because it crinkled a bit when the dog got in and out of it, he didn’t seem to want to stay in it.

Upgrade to a real sleep pad
It's plenty large enough for my 28# mid-size pup. The bed 'pad'..well that's one sheet of thin styrofoam wrap in a zip up cover. Plan on upgrading that,it's pretty sad,but you can just fold it up in the house when packing it. The house folds up easy and the carry bag is nice quality. Haven't taken it out on a camp trip yet. Did have it set up in the house for the dog to get used to it,he kept flipping it on its side,so the ground stakes that come with it,will be needed. As I just adopted him 8 weeks ago and he isn't trained yet, he's a bit of a wild child. But if your pup is crate trained, should be just fine. Overall really nice house, the mat is not worth it. Definitely have to stake it down or they'll flip it on its side, doing those turn arounds to get comfy.
