This is a great book. The poems and truth filled and so encouraging.

For those of us who love the thought and beauty of poetry, but feel less-than or intimated by the presumption that we could write our own, Paul David Tripp has provided a window into what true, heart-felt and real poetry is. Poetry does not have to be difficult to understand. It does not have to include similes and metaphors and word-pictures that take us hours to contemplate. All of these things are good and beautiful in themselves, but they can also detract from a simple truth that can be stated in plain words. Paul David Tripp may not be a Tennison, but he is my kind of poet. One who speaks in honest, clear words, and yet finds a way to touch the depths of your soul. He puts into simple language what lies in my heart, and he does it in a way that anyone can relate with and understand. Thank you Paul David Tripp for reminding us that high and lofty language is not necessary for us to commune and confess before God. And thank you for showing us that beauty is found in even the simplest of words. I highly recommend this work for your personal worship time.

I absolutely adore this book!!! The author beautifully puts many feelings into words, and also ends every reflection with Scripture for you turn to. This is the perfect "battle plan" for when difficult times come. Not only is it encouraging, but the book is so pretty and perfect to sit on your coffee table.

Paul Tripp is so relatable and yet he still challenges me! I recommend all his books!

This is such an amazing poetry book. I love it. I will gift it for sure. Powerful, interesting, outside the box from my usual devotionals, and I just really need it on days when normal reading isn't calling my heart.

Awesome book. Beautiful photography and the content is even better. Great for a read through or daily devotional because each poem has scripture to reference for deeper study.
