I just used this on my car one week ago, after washing with the Ethos waterless wash. Used about 1/3 of the bottle for my subcompact car (Honda Fit). Initial shine after applying and buffing off was nice. Took slightly more effort to buff to a streak-free shine than the waterless wash. Didn't notice it was any slicker to the touch when compared to use of just the waterless wax. So needless to say, I couldn't "test" it then since my building's garage doesnt allow ANY dripping or any dirty water anywhere, and I didn't drive it outdoors until a few days later.Yesterday, I turned on the window washing spray at some point (a good 4.5 days since I cleaned it) and notice the crazy amount of beading happening on my windshield. It also started drizzling while I was driving, and if I had been going faster than 15 mph (rush hour), the beads of water definitely would have sheeted off easily, and I wouldn't have had to use the wipers much.I asked Ethos on their FB feed how long this Surface Coat lasts, and they said about 3 to 4 months, but they recommend using it once a month after washing. Since I don't park outdoors, I am hoping to get away with using this once every 3 months or so.The only con I have is that there was a weird "clear smudge" on my windshield that is still kind of there after re-buffing. Hard to buff off now. Looks like it's greasy? But I don't know if it is. It's small and not too distracting, just there. Hoping it comes off whenever I get the money to get a proper, professional handwax.

I bought the bottle of surface coat, after checking out all the other bottles sold by competitors around the same price I pulled the trigger. I had the car washed and let it sit for a day in the garage . I didn't want any water dripping out of the usual places after a wash. The next day I decided to see just how easy and if the stuff would do what it claimed. its been cold here lately so I didn't have to worry about some of the streaking I read about in some of the reviews. Tip- make sure and clean any bug goo from the paint first. I just used a glass cleaner and removed it. The surface coat went on easily and wiped off really easy. I used one soft detail cloth to apply it to the whole car and two dry and clean ones to wipe it off. Did the windows inside and out and everything came out looking great. Even used it on my rims and they look great. I have a black Jeep Grand cherokee trailhawk and the black just came out out like a mirror finish. Just finished it a couple of hours ago so I don't know how long it will really last but it was so easy to apply that even if i have to re-do it in a month it won't be hard. I understand now why they advise you to do it in the shade. A hot surface will cause the stuff to dry too fast and will take a lot more elbow grease to get it off. I would order again no problem.

Makes surface super slippery but doesn't last long. One car wash reapply, beading good job and smells nice too. I first used their ceramic wax coating as recommended but does last. I'm going to opt for one of the true ceramic options when it gets warmer out. It does however make the car shine very well wet look.

The Ethos "Surface Coat" product works as expected. It is easy to apply and leaves a nice deep glossy shine as if done with carnuaba. I'll be purchasing more of the stuff real soon when I run out of this bottle. Another product of Ethos the I believe is excellent is the Ethos "Dry & Seal." I bought it for the first time when I got the "Surface Coat" and it is amazing. I am very please with the performance of both products. I highly recommend Ethos products. I'm sure if you tried any Ethos products you wouldn't be dissapointed.

I have used so many other products that didn’t live up to all the hype and claims. This Ethos surface coat product can literally be applied to almost everything on your car! It glides on effortlessly and wipes off to a brilliant showroom shine. No streaking just perfect shine. Apply it to your paint, windows, wheels, trim, headlights , taillights, etc. I tested the hydrophobic Properties and water just slides off the paint, windows etc. the finish is left ultra smooth. I used this as a topper to the Ethos ceramic wax and I wasn’t disappointed!

This product is really easy to apply, and doesn’t produce a “residue” that takes effort to remove. It doesn’t really prevent dirt from occurring, but it sure seems to assist when washing. I feel my truck comes cleaner, easier when treated about once per month.

This stuff is wonderful! Super easy application & it works!Normally I have to wash my black car at least every 2 days. I applied this on Tuesday and here it is Saturday, & I haven’t washed it once! It even rained 3 times since application & I swear it still looks beautiful! Looking forward to putting on another coat after my next wash to see more of the magic! Totally recommend!!!
