My need was to convert my PS4 HDMI signal to run an old '90s CRT TV. I bought two different brands of these converters - this one, and one of the white "MINI" converters. The MINI unit never did a thing, not even a flicker for a second. But this Baitaihem unit at least showed an immediate B&W image on NTSC setting, and after the disaster of the MINI, I was (and still am) very suspicious! Then I clicked the switch to PAL (in Texas?! maybe I'm closer to the border than I realize!) and the color kicked right in, but the onscreen type was all but illegible! After adjusting the PS4 output to match my target TV (720p) the image came together and looked just fine (of course, one problem is these new-gen systems make use of tiny (= 4 point) type because they assume you have fine resolution and a mural for a screen.) But after a thorough adjusting of all parts, this converter is doing a fine job, for now. I'll update if it tanks!I'm holding back 1 star because I'm still suspicious of it's durability. (or are 5 stars really just to be used for rare, outstanding and exceptional performers?) We'll see...

Product exactly as described I was expecting mediocre results but this is an excellent alternative to having today's capability with an older model tv. I used this to accommodate a wireless blue ray that could stream Netflix and Hulu. I'm on a fixed income and cannot afford to replace my set for a smart tv just yet, but recent,y became a cable cutter. Delivery way extremely fast. Four stars instead of five only because the attached cord is somewhat short so I needed an extension cord also that's my only complaint

I'm not one to write reviews but you know this calls for one. I searched every local store to figure out how to get my nephew's Xbox One to work on a different TV in my house because all of the ones with HDMI port were being used so i had a 50 Inch Magnavox conventional TV in which it does not house an HDMI port... But long story short THIS WORKS ... IT REALLY REALLY WORKS....... I've been from Radioshack to Bestbuy and much other places purchasing different things they said work which cost a lot more and they didn't work here i pay this fair price for this and it works wonders..... HIGHLY RECOMMEND if your in my position get this....

I bought this so we could plug in a game system in our van's entertainment system (Older Chrysler with AV and no HDMI in the back)... It works great !!! It is being used in conjunction with a Nexus Player and works great for the small screen in our van... If the device you are using for video has a USB port, you can use that port to power the converter so you won't need a separate power adapter...We have only had it for a couple weeks so I can't speak to the longevity of the device but for what we are using it for I couldn't be happier with the quality so far..

Did not come with a power cable for USB. Even though most of us have extras around the house or somewhere....other than that, item works as expected. The picture looks good on an older TV. I travel for work each and every day and sometimes the hotel's have those older TVS and that's why I made the purchase.

got this for my pc took me a little to get the resolution set up really old tv. but it works for all the shows and stuff i watch on the computer not so good for gaming though will lag butt that is not what it was made for.

Bought this for my sons' Xbox1 for a 1996 large screen TV with RCA adapters. It worked and no need to by a new HDTV with HDMI adapters. You will need to power this device with a USB cord just look at the female plug on the side of the device to find this common cord and the a USB end plugs into a 110V converter or plug into the side of a computer. If the screen flickers flip the switch on the side of the converter box to get a clear image.

Bought this item to connect PS4 to a no HDMI television set. Works as stated. Cost effective. Sometimes picture drops out , but then comes back. Only thing I did not realize was that it is usb powered and not an electric plug in.
