This shade is a blackout shade and installs easily. Other than that, I don't have many positive things to say. The material is very vinyl/plastic sheen to it, and when fully drawn down, you don't have to be an interior designer to know this is a $40-50 shade. Spend another $30-40 to get something made from fabric.

Buyer beware these are advertised as Fabric roman shades, They are not, they are Vinyl and look very cheap!

I purchased 2 Calyx Roman Shades in Blackout White for my family room to replace older roman shades. We had never used blackout shade at the house being that we live on a lake and love the views. However, with the views the sunlight can be very warm when the sun is setting. The Blackout shades cooled our home so much we bought Calyx blackout shades for every window in the house, except the sunroom. We are very pleased!

Installation was a breeze and light filtering is excellent! Opening and closing is also extremely easy to perform. Will purchase more of these for other windows.

Nice blinds overall for room darkening. Looks like vinyl, not material. The fit inside window is good, light does come in around edges and the seams where the stitching is but I expected that. The blind is nice and thick, heavy duty. Not as pretty as the flowy material covered light filtering ones but works well.

Not sure how they stitched this shade but for a blackout shade, it lets light through the gap between each panel. I will be returning it.

I was hesitant to purchase these because of the price, but they work great!! My nursery and LO’s room get blasted by early morning sun, and these have been great! Now my LO sleeps in an extra hour or so at least every morning.
