Great value
For the price, and considering how old my Y410p is, I expected a piece of junk -- but this thing is actually really nice. Feels solid, came with screws and a little phillips head screwdriver, and did include the black plastic plate to replace the one attached to the disc drive that comes stock. There's even a tiny blue LED on the plate that shows when the hdd is reading/writing.Being able to swap the hdd with an ssd for faster boot/software, and then move the hdd to the ultra bay for storage with this caddy has been amazing. I wish I knew it existed sooner, I'd been using the small ssd alone for nearly a year.Can absolutely recommend, for a Y410p at least.

Perfect fit and wonderful quality!
I originally bought a cheaper caddy from ebay that did not bring the face plate to match the laptop, I've had it for little over a year and it has fallen apart and no longer looks appealing due to there be a empty space where the black bezel should be.I purchased this caddy to hopefully permanently replace the cheaper broken caddy I was using. The build quality is very solid and was an extremely easy and fast installation, I would highly recommend this item for anyone with compatible models.The y410p did not come with a optic drive or the option for SLI so this is the PERFECT and cheapest upgrade to your laptop.

Fit my laptop like a glove and what a nice touch to add the face plate. Very easy to install and I like the led to tell when the HDD is in use.

Worked perfectly, and while it is not perfect, it looks good, the color matches, and is not noticeable. Since I purchased this during the summer, I have not run into any issues with my laptop HDD. Y410p users: Get rid of your optical drive and nab this to add an SSD or an extra HDD.

Works as advertised
Works perfectly with the Y410p, BUT you have to take the black plastic bracket off your optical drive and screw it onto the caddy, otherwise it won't work.
