A Truly Superb Keyboard That is Worth Every Penny
If you are looking for a first-rate keyboard with great touch and durability, the Realforce R2 may be your best choice. Its main virtue is its feel -- just supple enough to make it easy to type but firm enough so that you don't make mistakes. It is not quite as good as the Keytronic KB101 -- the best keyboard ever made -- but Keytronic is no longer in business and, in any event, they stopped making the KB101 decades ago and the ones available on eBay often work only with DOS, not Windows . Realforce comes very close to the KB101, making typing a pure pleasure. It is so well-made that I would guess it will last for twenty to thirty years of hard use.

High quality and serious.
This is the highest quality rubber dome keyboard I've ever felt in my life. Pretty quiet too. Its surprisingly heavy for a keyboard thats all plastic on the outside. It's designed to be refined and practical unlike many of the modern zoomer mechanical keyboards with their gamer asthetics. I don't need RGB lightshows, but I think I prefer my Model F for feel and sound. I can't reasonably have that at the office which is why I bought this.It would be extremely nice if I could remap the keys on this keyboard to replace capslock with function and have another layer available with a slight movement of my left pinky. I know there are dedicated arrow keys, but I'm very used to fn+{ i, j, k, l } for arrows without moving my hands.

This keyboard is so fantastic for typing that it has ruined all other keyboards for me.
Although very expensive, this keyboard has proved to be my holy grail—finally attained.I already own three other mechanical keyboards (a CM Quickfire Stealth, and two different Das Keyboards) because I'm a disgusting nerd who loves PC gadgets. I like them with varying levels of affection but as someone who types thousands of words per day for work and for pleasure, I was always seeking that PERFECT experience. Those boards I already have are all equipped with Cherry MX switches, and I finally took a shot on this Topre board after hearing so many folks champion it, and boy, is it something. As someone who's always liked the Brown versions of the Cherry MX switches the best, these Topre switches fit my tastes perfectly. It has a distinct lack of 'clackiness' that you hear with the blues, but the feel of pressing in the key ends with a satisfying 'thud' when the letter is recorded. The keys also somehow feel far sturdier and more solid than the Cherry MXs—I believe this is due to the way they are anchored to the actual board. It makes it extremely hard to go back to Cherry MX switches, which feel very flimsy and wobbly by comparison. Using this board with its Topre switches gives the distinct feel of punching something that is one cohesive piece of plastic, rather than individual keys that are attached to the board by other components. It's difficult to explain—It's something that you've kinda just got to experience on your own to understand. In summary, this is the best board I've ever used, by far. It perfectly fits what I'm looking for in a typing board and it's an absolute joy to use. I now look forward to typing up reports, scripts, e-mails, etc. These are things I used to dread, now made more fun by having such a great board. The one suggestion I will make is that, due to this board's very steep price, anyone who's interested go and check out how it types in-person before making the purchase. Perhaps the way these keys feel will simply not be to your taste. For me, however, they are perfect. The price is worth it, as this is my "forever board"—ie. I will likely never replace it unless it breaks. It's that good.

PLEASURABLY SMOOTH (kb endgame?)
I think this is coming pretty close to my endgame. I did get the 55g version before returning and getting this special edition 45g silenced. At first I thought the silenced would not be my thing as I love the 'thock' sound to be loud, but this sounds just as pleasurable and feels even better. Personally I found the 55g too heavy and the 45g is just about right for me. The feel is a smooth reverberation at your finger tips that doesn't travel up your finger as much as some clicky MX style switches do (that I am previously used to). Seeing as I bottom out my keys a lot, I do feel that it will be advantageous in the future when I am in a busier office environment (currently in a family business the keyboard 'clack'noise is no problem).Regarding the APC, I did have fun trying the different settings. Eventually I found the middle default setting (2.2mm) the best, but I did notice my typing improve with the lowest setting (1.5mm) whilst not being as fun to type on, with the opposite true for the 3mm. I know people said they don't find much difference with the APC, but I did notice these subtle variations.Overally I am really happy. I am still getting used to the topre style and I am still not as fast or comfortable typing as I am on my cherry style tactile and click switches that I use, but I feel I will get as good as them soon. Even if I don't, it doesn't matter. This keyboard just feels amazing. I will probably switch back and forth between some of my favourite cherry style switches (Zealios, Kailh box), but this does truly feel like it is almost my kb endgame.

Exquisite keybaord
Seems I got the last one in stock of the uniform 55g, and that this product is now discontinued, and they are no longer making the 55g.I have both this and the 45g version. The 45g is easier to type on, having less weight in the keys, and is exquisite, in my opinion. The 55g is springier. It was making my hands feel a bit tired, and I almost returned it. Trying the 55g again after switching to 45 for a while. It appears they've stopped producing the 55g; maybe too many people returned it. I recently found some advice, however, which was to try typing with my hands just held in the air, like a typewriter, instead of constantly resting my palms while typing, and that seems to help. The 55g does have a very smooth tactile feel to it, which is exquisite. The 45g is perfect, less tactile, in a way, but effortless and smooth.I came to these keyboards from Durgod and Keychron keyboards with Blue switches. The Topre have a more springy feel, and feel more substantial. You don't have that rattle or brittleness that you get with the blue switches, and there's a greater tactile element than in the brown switches. These seem to be regarded as extravagant, luxury keyboards, in accordance with the price. But I think it's a shame that keyboards of this quality and feel aren't the norm for typing. Both the black and light grey are very appealing visually, as well. Some complain about the black-on-black key labels, but I couldn't care less, as I'm a touch typist (and you should be too!)Some people have commented on the keyboard not sitting flat. My 45g sits flat, but the 55g had about 1mm of wiggle on the back left, which isn't acceptable. Not sure how a keyboard of such quality has such a defect. But it's easily correctible with a bit of stick-on 1mm foam padding (extra expense). Certainly not the deal-breaker that some reviewers have made it out to be!

Perhaps overrated? Luxury rubber dome feel. Try before buying if you can.
Coming off MX Brown and Black this keyboard is quite different. The initial resistance of the keys is much higher and can lead to fatigue, especially when typing fast or if you are not typing in an ergonomically ideal position. When my arms and wrists are angled ideally it is less of an issue, but I was able to type with less fatigue on other boards when using posture that would be considered "non ideal".That said, I can see why this board has the legion of fans that it does. It has a very sturdy and industrial feel. The keys are very solid and the sound of the keys is very muted compared to just about anything else that I've tried. When wearing headphones I can barely make out any of the keystrokes so much so that it kinda makes it trickier for me to avoid making typos (I suppose I relied on the audio cues to help me along). On Windows 10 I tested the NKRO capability of this board and was able to register over 40 keys at once. So for anyone that needs that this board provides it. I will say that pressing the same button in succession I feel the need to press the key a little more deliberately due to the force that is required. It is fine for gaming but perhaps a lighter switch would be preferred by some. Even though these keys are rated at 45g they feel as heavy as my MX Black Filco which kind of shocked me.Also the tactile feel of the switch is very gradual (it is not sudden/sharp like an MX Brown or Blue), so it is taking some time for me to adjust. I don't type that fast anyways (60-80 WPM) so my speed isn't exactly affected by it.This feels very much like typing on a rubber dome keyboard... It makes me wonder if it's really worth the money.Yes, the keys are very smooth and luxurious feeling, and the keys do not have to be bottomed out, but I bottom out the keys on this board anyways, so what difference does that really make? Trying not to bottom out actually made me type slower. One thing I notice on cheaply made rubber dome boards is that they tend to bind if you press the keys on the edges of the cap. This board does not have that problem whatsoever. No matter where you press on the key it goes down smoothly with no wobble. Finally, this board is obscenely expensive, especially for those of us north of the border. I was considering buying it directly from the Manufacturer and sending it to my sister who lives in the US and just picking it up next time I visit as it would have saved me over 100 CAD by doing it, but it will be a while before I visit her next so...Edit: April 15, 2020I've now had the board for 2 months and I changed my desk to a more ergonomically correct one. In that time I have grown to really enjoy using this keyboard. For keyboard enthusiasts or someone that uses a keyboard all day for work, I would say it's worth buying. For the rest of us out there, it's hard to justify when there's so many decent mechanical boards out there for so cheap. My Logitech G610 Brown gave me a lot of enjoyment for only 100 dollars, and it's still holding up very nicely (caps a bit shiny but that's it). However, the noise the Logitech makes is annoying now that I'm used to how the Topre board sounds. And the Brown switches lack the smoothness as well... I do like the defined tactility of the MX Brown switch but it feels scratchy in comparison to the Topre. My Filco MX Black (Majestouch 1 TKL) is much nicer compared to the Logitech but still inferior to the Topre in sound and feel. The Topre silent switches have a satisfying tactility and velvety feel that the Filco does not have. I've spoiled myself and it really is hard to go back. I took the plunge mostly because of my curiousity and the reputation these boards have in the community. Now that I own one I think I'm going to hold onto it, call it a day and stop looking at other keyboard options. If that saves me from buying 2 or 3 more keyboards looking for "the one", then maybe this was good value after all.

Keyboard endgame. Mejor imposible
No creo que exista un teclado mejor. Look no further, period.

Well rounded keyboard for typing and gaming
I got this keyboard for home office, mostly typing and some gaming. Typing this topre feels very satisfying and it is also factory silenced. The adjustable actuation point allows you to set up on the fly when gaming (1.5mm for extra responsive) or 4mm for best typing experience. It is definitely a great keyboard fit office or home. If RGB isn't your thing then this is the one to get. It is also a limited edition, will be difficult to find in the future, hence value will not drop off you decide to sell.Highly recommend.
