A bit too tight
I love tight rashguards but this is a bit too tight. But it fits me and I will lose a couple of pounds so it will fit me better.

Snug fit ... as it should be
I like O’Neill products and have several of them (other rash guards, impact vests, wakeboard vests, etc.). They are all well made, last a while and take quite a bit of abuse. Their products are on the pricey side when compared to other products, but the value is there. This will take a while before the fabric loses its elasticity. The main subject I’ve noticed is fitment. I’m 5’7”, 145lbs, swimmer’s body (broad shoulders, small waist 30”). I normally wear “S” Hanes undershirts and “M” T-shirts. This rash guard was ordered in a Medium and it fit as a fitted rash guard should; snug. I would guess that if you are a more ‘rounder’ body shape, maybe go up a size. Or there are loose fitting rash guards that work just as well (I have one from Naish and it is also a great product).

Buy 2 sizes larger than you generally wear
I'm 5'10" 205 lbs. My waist is 36". I'm not "round," but definitely no longer resemble my former athletic self! I usually wear large T-shirts (occasionally medium) but after reading the reviews I bought this in 2XL and it is still slightly unflattering in the midsection (certainly more my fault than the shirt's, but we're not reviewing me here!)... Buy two sizes larger than you generally wear unless you actually have the kind of body you want to display on the beach. For comparison, I also bought Kanu Surf Men's X-Pro UPF 50+ Rashguard in XL, which is slightly looser fitting through the midsection than this in 2XL, but probably not loose enough to cause billowing in the water (which remains to be seen)... this shirt, however, has significantly thicker material and between that and the tighter fit, it will most certainly not billow at all... tags on both shirts specify UPF 50+... I'm taking both on a snorkeling vacation and will report back if either or both give me problems.

Excellent!
I bought 8 of these shirts in all the various colors for a dive trip to the Florida Keys so I would not have to wear a wetsuit out of water, and still have some protection from the sun while on the boat. They are great! Comfortable, unrestrictive, and worth every penny...! I love the look and they feel like a second skin. Breathable, and quick drying, they are great for any Watersport like jet skiing, wind surfing, snorkeling, or just swimming in a pool. UV reflective material prevents sun damage with SPF rated at 50... And they look cool...! And those complaining about the collar seam obviously never bothered to zoom the product picture. The exterior seam is great a great design feature, as it prevents the seam from rubbing the neck.

Great rash guard, but different from other Oneal rash guards
I have a few solid color rash guards from o'neill (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004I44ICA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) but wanted to get one with some different colors. This is made with the same material and fits the same throughout the body. The one difference is the length - this is much shorter than o'neill's solid rash guards - by a few inches it would seem. Not a deal breaker, but definitely not what I thought I was getting.

Very nice. More orange than red
I like the shirt. However the online picture is deceiving. Neon red is more orange than red. In the picture the shirt appears to be a vibrant red. When I open the package, I found it to be traffic cone orange. It is still nice, and I like it. The fit is small and snug which is the way it's supposed to be. Be sure to have the right body type. If you have a six pack, it will show it. If you have a case, it will show that too.

Black Shirt Runs small, just get a couple sizes larger in case
The shirt runs small. I am usually an XL but I went with a 3XL in Black after reading the many reviews and it fit exactly as a rash guard should, like spandex with room to stretch.Length is great, I'm 5'11", theres no chance of this becoming a belly shirt- and it can be tucked into pants about 4 inchesThe neck is a little snug, but I have a big neck and broader shoulders. I can breathe fineFor reference, my dress shirt size is 34/35 w/ 18" neck, regular cut- or a 46R Sport coat with shoulders let out a touch.

Not sure what O'Neil is thinking about sizing.
This is a high quality compression type shirt for the water. The material is a little thicker than others I've seen, but not too hot. The fit is tight, all the way down through the waist. I read the reviews about sizing and went up one from a large. I should have gone up two. Even with an athletic V shape for a guy, I didn't like it that tight around my slightly middle-aged middle. If you are ripped into a hard six-pack, then you might like it this way. I'm close but not there anymore. I then ordered an XXL but it didn't arrive in time for my trip to the lake. I'd recommend it with that note about sizing.

Not what I expected
I ordered a xx to make sure it was large enough and fit comfortable. I normally am a medium or large. It was so small I could barely breathe when I put it on. Gave it away to my granddaughter who is 8. It fit her. It is not what I expected to be a wet suit top. It is more a UV protection top.

They say tight fit, it is tight fit !
I wear this shirt in the pool. Once in the water it is very comfortable, but with my tummy what a hassle to take off once wet !
