INSPIRING AND CREATIVE BOOK FOR GIRLS
I got this for my niece and she loves it - I may have to order another copy for her! Really encourages creativity and inventiveness - I thought she would like it since I have recently become enamored with adult coloring books and had forgotten how much kids love them. This is a great one.

Hours of fun!!
My daughter has LOVED this book. She’s literally spent hours on it and thinks I should order a copy for me. There are lots of activities to encourage creativity. My daughter regularly creates her own lettering now. It’s pretty cute. This would be a great gift for a creative girl ages 8-12.

Stephanie Corfee is AMAZING!!
You can't go wrong with this woman. Stephanie Corfee is an amazing artist so each and every one of her stuff are really great. Although girl plus pen is technically a book for little girls, I enjoy coloring on it even im 25

Encouraging suggestions for young girls
This is a very encouraging book aimed at 9-12 year old girls, though I see no reason why girls in middle school or high school wouldn't enjoy flipping through the pages and trying out a few doodles here and there. Corfee's suggestions are filled with positive language and exclamation points, letting the reader know that "Your style is one of a kind" and "Anyone can doodle," which are sure to inspire the target audience without seeming false or overly cheerful. (Kids can tell the difference!)The suggestions themselves are fairly wide-ranging, from doodling random squiggles to creating letter art, elaborately-swirled ice cream, or fanciful patterns on a blank skirt or shirt. I will say that the doodles are geared mostly toward girls who gravitate toward glitter/ponies/charm bracelets, but if your budding artist is more interested in pirates or lizards, there are still plenty of letter-art pages and blank spaces for their creativity to shine. I especially liked the included examples of doodles on photos or tote bags, so that children might be inspired to explore creative outlets in other media than just journals or notebooks. Overall, the supportive tone and wide range of doodle ideas make this a book I would happily suggest to friends and family with young children.I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.
