Getnord ONYX IP68 MIL-STD-810G Metal Reinforced Smartphone 3+32GB (RRP £265)

I've had this phone since August 2019 - Overall it is a reasonable bit of kit but in reality perhaps not quite as robust as I wanted. It feels very sturdy and is fairly attractive to look at for a rugged type mobile. Only thing I dislike about the appearance is where the clip on the top right joins the case with a screw looks very unfinished compared to the rest of the design.I work on a farm so it has had a fairly hard life already - I cracked the screen protector within a fortnight but the screen itself has held up so far .Battery wise - It started off very promising but within 5 months is akin so any other modern smart phone in my experience. Needs a charge each day, even with fairly low usage.I've picked up some irritating malware too which has deleted all my contact names and is also causing game ad pop ups which I can't seem to shift. Never experienced problems like it with any other phone. Even with anti virus software installed.The duel sim feature is handy but as others have noted - it's either two sims or a sim and an SD card in the other slot, effectively rendering it a one sim phone in real life.Charge port is also very irritating. Can only be charged with its own slightly longer than usual micro usb, standard phone chargers can't get into the casing. The cover that prevents water and dust getting it becomes very tedious and the screw that holds that in places comes loose every week or two.I struggle with the accuracy of the touchscreen at times too.I'd say if you are looking for a tough phone for basic calls and texts and not a lot else this is ideal but an all rounder as we expect smart phones to be today, it is not quite there for me. For the price I am pretty disappointed on reflection.

Works well straight out of the box, easy enough to operate even for a dozy git like me. Bluetooth, internet etc no problem. No glitches and works fast and smoothly. Bit heavy, but then it would be, designed to be tough and definitely feels like it is. Almost a week in and yet to find anything you could call a fault. Only criticism i would have is that the sim and sd trays are a bit crap, that's not to say they aren't solid or don't work, just takes you a minute to work out which way is up. All in all I'd definitely recommend. Screen is clear, operation is smoothe, Android is good. Sound a bit tinny but hey ho, clear enough.

great piece of kit tough and waterproof ive already dropped it in a river where it bounced off rocks ect made no impact on it whatsoever

surprisingly its had quite a few hits already and not even a scratch on it. very loud ringtone.

muy bonito i se vee de calidad, pero la bateria no cumple con las expctativas. no creo que lleve una de 4000 mha como se anuncia. dura a uso normal dia medio.
