As soon as I plugged my earbuds in with these adapters and started to play audio, I was surprised by the added background hiss. Until now I've only used the Apple-provided plug, and never heard added noise. After test both adapters in the package, with two different sets of earbuds, and on several audio apps, there's no doubt - something in the design or production of these plugs is defective, causing a high level of white noise. To me, they're unusable.

These adapters worked fine with my non-Apple earbuds for listening to music, but the remote mic controls didn’t work at all. Everything I used to do by pressing the buttons on the earbuds - volume up and down, double clicking to skip to the next song, pressing to activate Siri - NONE of that worked with these adapters. After looking at the Apple website reviews of their adapters, it seems that none of these dongles allow any third party mic controls. So Apple is basically forcing everyone to buy their products - so annoying...

In spite of what other reviews have said, you will NOT receive OEM Apple adapters. The pair of adapters that I received are of sub-par quality when compared to genuine Apple adapters. You will get static noises, a very finicky female adapter that makes L/R sound difficult, and the COMPLETE inability to use inline controls on your headphones (mic, volume, play/pause). This was a disappointing purchase that I made completely on the other reviews. I am going back to a genuine Apple adapter.

I was excited to find a cheap lighting adapter option with so many 5-star reviews. Unfortunately, these adapters don't work as promised. The diminished sound quality is immediately noticeable. Perhaps worse is the presence of clicks and pops. It sounds like listening to scratched up vinyl. Sending these back right away. Bad product.

I bought a pair of the adapter, plug into my iPhone XS, they don't work. I.e. when I make phone calls I hear the voice from the phone speaker/mic. I tired both do not work. Piece of junk!

These connectors are not working with my iPhone X. after a minute or two from connecting my headphones I’m getting the error: “This accessory is not supported by this device” and the sound is disconnected. I will return the product if I can. Do not buy this If you have an iPhone X.

I rarely put on a negative comment because usually the items I buy are in working order, but this product (both adapters), do have a crackling noise even before playback. And just today, the audio playback began to stop if I slightly move my phone. YOu would need to adjust the connection or even unplug the adapter completely and then plug back in to get sound. Priced competitively, but I would not recommend buying this again.

I can't stress how terrible these are. We are in an unfortunate situation. Apple removed the headphone jack and we, not wanting drop 160+tax on air pods, went to buy a new dongle. Here is the thing, apple's dongle is relatively expensive. How bad could the off brand be?Im not sure how long I expected this cheap dongle to last. I know its a cheap dongle, so I thought if each one lasts 6 months then it would still be a win. EACH DONGLE LASTED LESS THAN A DAY, BEFORE THE AUDIO STARTED CUTTING OUT ON ONE EAR, BEFORE FINALLY CUTTING OUT ON BOTH EARS. LESS THAN A DAY. COME ON.Long story short, please save your money. They should include 365 of them in one order so you can use them a while. while.
