I bought this fountain for my boyfriend's new law office. I lost count of the number of countertop fountains I looked at before deciding on this one because the spinning ball (and LED light) makes it so unique! I was afraid he might consider it too 'girly', but ended up LOVING it. He tells me he also receives visitor compliments about it often. The second picture shows how the fountain looks as-is. I bought a bag of stones from Dollar Tree, which are shown in the first and third pictures. As you can see, that made a HUGE difference in the look. I also included a 27-second video with this review, showing how the placement AND angle of the counter/table makes ALL the difference in whether the ball spins -- and how quickly. It took me a few minutes to figure this out, so I wanted to share this tip with you, to save you some time (and disappointment.) The last picture shows a clear piece of rubber I had to place under the back side of the bowl, so the fountain is titled ever so slightly forward. Other things could be used if needed, such as a small piece of cardboard. We have it plugged into a timer, and set to run 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. Eight months later, and the pump is still running great! The water does evaporate, so we have to add a little more every after several days. I would love to have a second one in my home, but decided against it for two reasons: 1. I frankly don't want to regularly clean two of them. We MUST empty the water, wash the bowl/stones, and refill it with fresh water because the bowl gets slimy -- which is bacteria growing, as I understand it.... much like happens in pet water bowls. We use spring/bottled water, yet clear slime still 'grows' everywhere the water touches/sits. Although it can't be easily seen with the naked eye, I'm confident if the slime is left to build up over an extended amount of time, it would likely eventually begin to smell bad, and may even clog up the pump. 2. I have cats, so I was worried they may either slap the glass ball off the top (playing) and break it, or even worse, drink the water. I don't know whether ALL the materials used in the making of this fountain are non-toxic or not, and I'm unwilling to take a chance with my fur kids.

Absolutely the best! I’d bought another fountain first and it sucked completely. Tried this one next. Pros: Motor is very quiet, just some slight white noise that is mostly covered by the water. Tranquil water noises. Easy to put together. Great directions! Perfect size. Highly recommend it all around! Cons: Strong little motor lol! It splashes without the glass ball, but I put a small stone there instead and works perfect! No on/off switch so you have to plug/unplug which I don’t mind. It’s made out of light plastic so I wouldn’t call it thick. But it is sturdy and made well so I’m not worried about it. Added some pebbles around the base and it works amazingly! Very happy with it overall and would recommend.

First thing, without thinking, I set the pump power to the max and decorated the fountain with two dozen pebbles before turning it on. I thought that even at its strongest, the water was only going to trickle. No, the pump is pushing water off to the sides, everywhere, which I don't mind, though it's starting to leave calcium. Unfortunately, the ball doesn't spin at all, not even if I gave it some encouragement. With a fan to the side turned on, I can still hear the water pouring loud and clear. I only wish the pump setting was reachable outside of the fountain instead of having to open it up. I'd set the motor strength to 3 in the daytime and 2 at night if this were an option. The only thing I must warn is the motor is very finicky. Moving it in certain ways will have it buzzing loudly. If this happens, toggle the cord gently until the motor quietens. Here's how the levels are like: 1 - so slow it's just dripping 2 - slow but flows smoothly 3 - slight rush, runs over the sides 4 - extra rush, flows hard and extra finicky motor I can't tell how 80-90% full like the directions recommend is supposed to look like. I like having the water at a certain level where you can hear the dripping echo on the inside. This probably means having the water at the lowest recommended fill where the motor will start fizzing up water in two days and that's when you know you absolutely need to add more water.

Craving the sound of water that really seems to help relax and balance me I obsessively looked at water fountains and read a ton of reviews and watched videos. So many looked cheap, cheesy or I didn't like the sound. I didn't have super high hopes when ordering this one but it was the best of the ones I saw from the pics which we all know often doesn't mean much. I was pleasantly surprised and the speed of delivery and that it looked better then even the pictures showed but was dissapointed to see there was some damage to the plastic bowl. Still I set up and was surprised how much I liked, the sound, that it had 3 speeds, easy to set up and the turning ball was so much better looking then I thought. It also helps let me know if the water is low when it stops which is kind of cool. I reached out to the seller about possibly just getting a new bowl, I was surprised by their quick response and eagerness to make it right. They sent a new unit right away to replace the previous. In conclusion, I HIGHLY recommend and happy to give both the fountain and sellers 5 Stars. Liked so much I got a second one and will likely be buying a couple more as gifts. Order, you won't be dissapointed.

It's cute...It's was easy to assemble...Once the motor speed it was set correctly it didn't splash over. It has a pleasant sound. Our only problem is that it arrived with the top water fall broken. Because it still works and because it would be a pain in the "you know what" to ship it back we decided to plug it in a live with it.

The fountain motor worked ok for 10 min and then it completely stopped.
