On first inspection I thought these were going to have the nasty smell others have complained about when ordering beeswax pellets. The box smelled terrible when I opened it. However, I soon realized the bad smell was coming from the plastic bag they are packaged in and the pellets themselves smell fine. These will work just fine for my needs (melting in small silicone ice cube trays to create small wax blocks to be used in traditional egg dyeing workshops)

Dispite a number of folks saying this had an odor, I purchased, It melts well but It smells like woodsmoke to me. At first I was ok with it, and assumed completed skin care products would cover smell. My (expensive) essential oils do not mask the smell. I am disappointed.

Product as agreed - no instructions, no recipes

I thought the other reviews were exaggerating about the smell -- they weren't. I melted these with coconut oil and citrus essential oil and the resulting product smells solely of wood smoke (and I used way too much essential oil to try and cover up this smell). I followed the advice of another reviewer suggesting to move the pellets to another bag. The pellets still smell, but a little less. Will let the bag air out and try the recipe again to see if the smell dissipates.

A good value but it has a kind of funky smell. I wished I had noticed that before the expiration of the return window.

This was a great purchase. I was using the beeswax bars but was having a difficulty trying to shred and cut it up. The pellets are easy to use and melt quite nicely in my homemade beauty products.

I purchased this product to go into homemade body butters and other products I have been trying. Works well takes awhile to completely melt but is a great product. Will purchase again.
