Pearce GripBS PLT for GLK G5 19/17

I had wanted one of these to put on my 30S for some time, and finally found one. It was exactly what I wanted, installed with one click, and looks nice. But then, my LTC instructor, with whom I keep up contact, saw it and told me that while it *could* help keep filth out of the magazine chamber, that the plug was, overall, a bad idea, and explained why. That hole that this "butt plug" (his words, thought I'd share) fills is designed to allow your thumb to go in and assist you in removing the magazine in a hurry. I took the round out of the chamber and tried it both with and without, and he, *as usual*, was RIGHT. If you don't anticipate having to "grab and switch" in a huge hurry, and you're in a dirty environment, then go ahead. I have NO issues with the quality of the piece, it's a company out of Ft. Worth, and I was glad to "buy Texas." But consider the points made.

I'm not sure if my 30SF is post 2012 (SN: SEE###) or not as I bought it used, but as it was this did not fit. After trimming the sides a bit, reducing the back and the nub/button it went in just fine. Require further trimming on the inside to eliminate the friction causing the magazine to rub against and not drop free. Magazine drops out just fine now and is a solid fit.

Been waiting on this product for my Glock 30 SF for several years. I happened to browsing Amazon and found these to fit both my 30 SF and my 29 SF. Received the order in 2 days and installed both within 10 minutes of opening the package. Great product and a great supplier.

Don't know why this needs to be bought separately after purchasing a $650 gun but it fits just right on my 30S

Product did not match item description; same issue as other reviews here. Gen 5 mag base packaged as a G30 plug.
