I bought this for my Pops! He is forever dropping his phone. He has broken 2 expensive phones and lost 1 in lest than a year. This is a pretty tough case. He loves it. He has already dropped it 6 times at least. It has actually bounced when hitting the ground. So I would say this is a darn good case! Also I bought the bright red model so it would be easy for him to spot because he always misplaces his phone.Also this could be a pro and a con... it is very sticky... meaning it will grab cash/paper out of your pocket when you go to retrieve it. However it does not slip out of his hands so easily and it does not slide in the car when you set it somewhere. Even on the dash making turns. So it really depends on what you prefer. Also there is no holster...

I needed a case for my LG Optimus L9 so I bought several hybrid cases from Amazon for around $5 each. This one seems to be the most like the Otterbox. It's rugged and heavier than the others I bought, and seems like it would protect the phone well. And, it looks great.Most hybrid cases have a soft shell inside and a hard shell outside; this one has the hard shell on the inside and the soft shell on the outside. The inside shell is shiny plastic and seems very cheap. The soft outside shell is much thicker than the inside shell on other hybrid cases. It seems more like rubber than silicone. Together they make a solid case that fits well. It's easier to hold than most thanks to the non-slip outer shell.The kickstand seems pretty flimsy but will probably last since you don't use it much and it's recessed when not in use. It will hold the phone in both vertical and horizontal positions.Don't expect to get this right away; it took 11 days for me to get it. My verdict: a good case that may be heavy but offers excellent protection. Worth the money.

Going 55 mph on the Beeline Hwy in Payson, AZ. something bumped in the road and my husband immediately knew it was his phone he had left on top of our car. We had just purchased the case two weeks ago, thank goodness. After traveling about five miles, it hung on until we got up to 55, then according to my cousin who was following us, it flipped off, tumbled over and over again from one side of the road to the other then landed in the middle of the road. My cousin jumped out and ran back and picked it up. My husband met him at the car and feared the worst! To their surprise there wasn't even a scratch anywhere on the phone!!!!!!!!!This was the best investment we have made in years, within two weeks we finally got some returns on our purchase, lol!Love this product, everyone should have one.

We purchased this phone cover for my son thinking we couldn't lose with the description, the cost and low cost shipping. Even if it lasted only a short time it was going to be a great deal. We were shocked! This cover is attractive, extremely durable, and so affordable. If you are pondering whether or not to purchase this item because it seems too good to be true. Stop wondering, make the purchase. It is a great case and worth a lot more than we paid for it.

I initially got this for my own phone - it is very easy to put on the phone, and it protects the phone VERY well. I also like that the edges on the front side are raised so that it would protect the screen in the unfortunate event of dropping the phone screen-down. I am not a huge fan of the kickstand (mostly because I never use it), but it doesn't bother me at all.The only flaw (which is also the strength of this case) is that it makes the phone a LOT bulkier. I bought the L9 partially because if its slimness, so putting this case on sort of defeats that purpose. The phone still fits into most guys' pant pockets, but one needs to make a judgement call on this one. I ended up giving this to my brother (high schooler) who doesn't mind the bulkiness and who is clumsier than I. He seems to love it so far.

I finally got a smart phone. I had an iPod Touch for a while, so I know the importance of protecting the device and I wanted a bomber case that would protect it if I dropped it. I have had the phone for maybe just over two months now and I have definitely dropped it a few times with no issues. I also love the little kickstand, even though I didn't get this case for that reason. I use it when I am reading on the phone in a coffee shop or when I am teaching a class I have it up with the time displaying so I can keep track. It is easy to take on and off if needed as well. My biggest complaint is that it makes the phone so big that I can't put it in my pocket (I am petite). That would probably be an issue with any similar case. Smart phones are just so much bigger than older phones. Overall very happy. Red is also my favorite color!
