BrightLines Roof Racks Cross Bars Replacement for 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 Kia Sportage Non-Panoramic

I recently bought a 2020 Kia Sportage EX and ask about crossbars for the roof rack. I was told they charge 270 bucks plus 100 bucks to install them...a one person 5 minute job. I checked Amazon and found what I wanted for 99 bucks! They are very sturdy and look great. I installed them by myself in 5 minutes. I am very pleased with them and love that they dont sit as high up as the Kia factory crossbars. Please note these do not have locks on them. That wasnt an issue for me. If you're looking for a set I highly recommend this brand.

I haven't loaded these with anything yet but they feel really stable. Took me literally 4 minutes to install on my 17 Sportage by myself with no ladder. They tighten into the factory rails an there's 2 more bolts per crossbar that are tightened so they can no longer extend. There is quite a bit of plastic in these but everything feels really solid. Will update after using them to carry something, but definitely looks like it's going to be a great product for the cost. They also don't stick up 6in like the Kia factor crossbars which was one of the reasons I wanted them.

Just got this for our new 2020 Kia Sportage; had previously purchased for our 2017 Hyundai Tucson. Very easy to install, took about 15 minutes. Units are solid, there is a suggested weight limit on what you strap to them (can't remember exactly what it is) but you don't want to be carrying dangerously heavy objects on your roof anyway. A great value, significantly less expensive then the OEM equipment you would purchase at the dealer.

Nothing stayed on my rails though all were suggested for a 2018 Sportage. I was so upset until we found these and they fit in slots in the rails so they are sturdy and I’m confident in their ability to safely haul my kayaks!

Was nervous about this not working with our vehicle. Fits great, easy to install.

Used on my 2015 Kia Sportage to carry two kayaks. Must have flush style rails. When youPut them on, line up pin on inner sides with the holes in your rails.

There is a very slight issue but not with the roof racks. The Kia Sportage has a curved roof so when installing a ski rack the rack is not fully aligned between the two bars. It is a very slight problem with the ski rack but may be more of a problem with other fittings such a bike rack or luggage rack. I gave 5 stars as this is not a problem with the racks themselves but perhaps in future the designers of these racks could account for some roof curvature.
