At last, I think I've found my forever poop bags! These are the best bags I've used, and I've used a lot. The bags are sturdy, compostable, have a nice flat seam along the bottom of the bag (as opposed to being "bunched"), and are EASY TO OPEN! I frequently walk my dog after dark, and I use a cane. So while I'm hanging on to the leash, a flashlight, and my cane, the last thing I want to have to do is wrestle with the bag to get it open. With one brand, I once just gave up and used the unopened bag like a flat piece of plastic. With another brand, I took bags off the roll and opened the top ahead of time so I would't have to fumble with them in my moment of need.I'm back today to order more bags. I hope they will eventually become available on Subscribe & Save.I highly recommend these bags!12/29/20 UPDATE:These are still my favorite poop bags -- they are HANDS DOWN THE BEST I've ever used! I first ordered these because they are compostable. Once I started using them, I appreciated the flat design and ease of opening. I'm back today to add one more thing I love about these bags: The sticker that seals the roll of bags comes off without tearing the bag -- HALLELUJAH!!! This is the first brand of poop bags I've been able to do that with (and consistently!). Also, I was so happy to discover that these bags are now available through Subscribe & Save -- so now I don't even have to worry about running out! WOOHOO!!! Thank you, EcoPettie! I never would have believed poop bags could make so happy!

Edit UPDATE : I updated to five stars. This company listens to feedback to make their product better. I only wish I could have a subscription so it comes automatically. Not changing brands.I recently moved far from my farm (where I didn't pick up dog poop) to the city where it is the law. I had dogs growing up but just got my first dog. I realized that now I'm picking up after her multiple times a day, I'm creating a lot more plastic waste than I was before and I knew this didn't have to be the case. The first options I looked at I read reviews and they mentioned that the bags were not actually disposable. So I did a little research and found out that it's true some of them break down a little but don't complete compost. These bags are the solution! They will actually break down and reduce the amount of plastic.I like the cardboard box but agree with some other users that it could get rid of the plastic window. I also will admit that it doesn't cover up the smell as well as the arm and hammer bags I was using, but this is much more environment friendly and they do a good job. The other thing I wish they could solve is some of the rolls aren't rolled as tight so I can't fit them in some bag dispensers but I have many so that doesn't matter too much. The other thing I wish was a slightly different is the sticker often rips a hole in the first bag even if I'm careful. It's toward the top of the bag so it doesn't prevent me from using it.

I love that these bags are ACTUALLY degradable. Many of these products out there claim they’re eco friendly, but they are still mostly plastic. This is the only brand I found that was not the case 😁 ( and I read over mannny products)! Even down to the cardboard core they are degradable! ❤️ The bags are soft and durable - I use them for my cat’s waste, but also plenty large for dog waste. I haven’t noticed any odors seeping from the bags, and I dump them regularly every 2 days. I would absolutely recommend this buy, especially since its only a few more dollars to do a lot of good for our planet! I am definitely buying more, for myself and my mother ( owns dogs). I need to search and see if they sell larger sizes I can use in my waste baskets!

If you want to have a low impact on the environment, use these bags. They have NO plastic and are made out of corn starch. Many other bags claim to be eco-friendly but they only have a small percent of the bag being non-plastic. They are also very thick and do not easily rip or get holes in them. They biodegrade very quickly as well, but will stay in tact without exposure to the elements after use in my case for 3 or so weeks before they all get thrown away and picked up by garbage company. Odor is not a major issue either. I have used the plastic type when I lived at an apartment complex that provided them and they were way less quality than these as well as were worse for the environment. Anyways I will keep getting these as long as they are posted on Amazon.

The free bag container keeps the roll of bags ON the leash. I don't have to look for it, it's always waiting there to go for a walk.The bags are very smooth and comfortable to the touch -- sturdy.Compostable means the plastic breaks down in my compost pile within weeks of using it...much better product for our environment. Every little bit helps me understand that I am doing my part to preserve Nature.

Love these bags! Best I’ve found so far. Never once have they ripped and I’ve been using them for about 6 months now. Plenty big enough for both small and large dogs. I use about two a day for my dog and I feel so much better knowing they’re not harmful for the environment. It’s almost 2020- let’s steer away from using wasteful plastic shopping bags to clean up after our dogs. Also the key to these bags is that they’re 100% biodegradable- that’s why I keep ordering!

I really like this product because it is very thick and sturdy so I have no worry about tearing or getting anything on my hands. It is large enough to pick up large amounts and then be self tied. The smell doesn't come through. The best thing is that it is actually biodegradable. Some bags are not, they need environments that are not available in landfills or also contain microplastic that will be degraded to more microplastic. These are not the cheapest, but entirely worth it.

Since we use a couple bags a day while walking our dog, I decided to try to be more conscious about all the plastic I was putting in the trash. Yes, these bags are a bit more expensive, but they are absolutely great in every respect. They are very easy to open, they tear off the roll well, and they are sturdy enough to hold everything we need them to contain. No complaints, I would buy again without hesitation.
