Liis and Thomas are both workaholics and work for the FBI. A relationship would be too time consuming; criminals don’t rest so they can’t afford to either. But working together on a “case” will bring them closer together.If you want to truly understand this story you have to read the Beautiful series first. I had some trouble with it because we saw Travis in a relationship before and his ex is present in this book. Which wouldn’t be a problem if it didn’t take up so much space. I felt like can they be a couple or should I read more about the ex?After they get their stuff together, the book ends, which I find sad. I would have love to see more of their interactions when they finally sort out their feelings

MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS - The best part of this series involves Travis & Abby, especially the moment when his FBI brother Thomas has to break the news to Travis that it is prison or he joins the FBI to bring down Abby's father. Liis, an Asian agent relocated from Chicago who is all calculated & cool, meets Thomas before her first day on the San Diego force, and to everyone's surprise Thomas gets down & dirty with her. Liis & Thomas are perfectly suited for each other since they are essentially married to their jobs & anyone else comes second. Liis drove me nuts in the end because she wouldn't take a chance with her heart, not knowing for sure that Thomas was no longer in love with his ex Camille, a woman who is head over heels for his brother. She couldn't get it through her head that you don't necessarily fall out of love, you just move on, hopefully to something more meaningful & bigger & better. "You have to weigh the joy against the risk." Thomas is so perfect, hot & dominant but also sweet when he wants Liis with his entire soul. They work together, pretending to be lovers when in fact they really are, to get Travis to come on board. Again, the best part is the scene with Travis because he is the most volatile brother but the one with the most heart, and he refuses to lie to his wife. In the end after all the violence & drama, Thomas & Liis get their HEA. "What I felt for you, what I still feel for you, makes my feelings for Camille insignificant."

I enjoyed this book a lot. I loved that the main topic & setting of the book is revolved around the FBI and it was nice getting a glimpse into who Thomas is & how he operates, which he seems to be the less intense version out of all the brothers.I didn’t really like Liis; she was pretty annoying and repetitive throughout the whole book. Also, she didn’t make ANY jokes or banter with the other Maddox brothers, when there were several opportunities/conversations where she could have made an attempt to do so, causing her to seem uptight, closed off & boring, from my perspective anyway.She didn’t seem to have that something special about her that leaves an impression, which her character could have been made that way on purpose I suppose, I don’t really know. There was just no personality there at all.But I also don’t think any of the women will match up to Abby anyway. When you read the previous books, you can feel the connection & love she shares with the whole Maddox family instantly and something about Liis just gives that impression that she just won’t ever have that or be that.

I'll admit, I was a little weary about Beautiful Redemption after reading Beautiful Oblivion. I was a little disappointed in that book, but Beautiful Redemption was absolutely amazing and exceeded all my expectations!Thomas Maddox is known around his office as the moody boss that no one ever goes up against. He's young and in a great position at the FBI, and is still getting over his heartbreak with Cami. Liis is an up and coming agent who is married to the job and just transferred to San Diego and split with her fiance. When these two meet the first time, they have no clue who the other one is, and it is enjoyable to see how it plays out when they realize who they are to one another.These two are so alike, but yet so different. Liis really hasn't experience that real love that knocks you down and makes you question what you really want in life. Thomas thought he had, but that's all about to change. Both of these characters are married to their job and absolutely love being an FBI agent.Liis tries her hardest to fight her feelings for Thomas, and each time she finally wants to give in, he does something idiotic that makes her pull back. When the two of them are forced to work together to talk Travis into joining the FBI or going to jail, everything comes out with these two.I absolutely loved these two characters and the chemistry between them was HOT! Thomas's brother Travis has been one of my all time favorite book boyfriends, but Thomas now is coming up the ranks with his book boyfriend appeal. He's loyal, loving, alpha, and everything that makes a character appealing. Liis knows what she wants in life and isn't afraid to speak her mind. A few times I was laughing out loud at her and her antics.Not only are these two main characters to die for, but so are the supporting characters. I loved Anthony, Marks, Sawyer and Val. OMG did I love Val! She absolutely cracked me up, and she brought sense to Liis when she needed it the most.Thomas's story is definitely amazing, but I do recommend reading Beautiful Disaster, Walking Disaster, and Beautiful Oblivion prior to reading this, so you have the full story. I loved how we got to see a bit of Travis and Abby again, and to see how much their love for one another just jumps off the page. This story is heartfelt, amazing, and full of chemistry. I definitely recommend this book, and hope everyone falls in love with Thomas as much as I did.

Ah well. I didn't expect great so it's not like I am disappointed... I am just resigned to accept that Jamie McGuire doesn't do it for me.If I'm being honest, it started off well... even if the romance starts with a one night stand - something that usually is a red flag for me. Not because I am against them but just because it has to be very well ploted in order to build the tension throughout the rest of the book for me to be engaged. And the first half of this one was quite good, but then it went downhill quickly. Only one issue was discussed time and time again, both MCs were too stubborn for my liking and honestly? The fact that Thomas Maddox was so burned and heart broken and hurting Liis in the way he did just made me sad.

First I have to say I love Jamie McGuire and I love the Maddox boys! So as a fan I had huge expectations for this book.For the most part this book didn't disappoint me, however there were a few moments that annoyed me.Lets start with Thomas, he's definitely a Maddox! He's moody, sweet and falls hard *swoon* - for the most part Thomas was perfect. My only problem was the whole ex situation, in the previous book I don't remember it being that big a deal so I was a little surprised by his reaction in this book.Liis is a strong independent woman, I'm all for that and again for the most part I liked her. My problem with Liis; I found her very repetitive and felt she never listened, every time Thomas said something to her its like she blacked out for 10 minutes.I loved that the story was set around the FBI and how it intertwined with the previous books in the series. And of course I loved the little glimpses we got of all the Maddox brothers throughout.I'm kind of hoping Val gets a little story...I think she's ace and she definitely has some book worthy baggage!

Another Maddox brother love story, what’s not like? From start to finish, I was caught up in Liis and Thomas – the plot, the tension and drama surrounding them.In true Maddox form, Thomas is upfront with his feelings, even if this did sometime’s hurt Liis. But she’s a strong character throughout and I never once wavered from liking her a helluva lot. For some reason I expected the book to be told from Thomas’ point of view and kept expecting it to switch but the entire story is told through Liis’ eyes and, although I did enjoy it, I would have loved a little insight into Thomas’ mind as well.Overall the formula remains the same as Jamie McGuire’s previous books and I’m glad – if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Another Maddox brother and another highly charged read, Thomas is everything you expect him to be, and so much more! This story was amazing and I loved relationship Thomas developed with his new Agent, Liis Lindy.Brought in to assist him with a case involving Travis, following the fight fire, little does Thomas expect to fall in love. Having had his heart broken by Cami, Thomas has sworn off women but after seeing Liis, drunk and captivating in his favourite bar, Thomas wants to finally stop the pain and a one night stand is the only thing on his mind. After realising exactly who Liis is though, Thomas reverts to his abrupt and rude manner but Liis is a strong and determined woman and won't take any man's BS, even if that man is her boss.The developing relationship with Liis and Thomas is full of hope and promise but at the same time frustration. Liis won't accept that Thomas isn't over his lost love, Cami, and won't trust him with her heart until she believes he won't hurt her, or himself. At times, I found this battle frustrating especially with Liis pulling and pushing her emotions too and from Thomas. Every time I expected her to yield to his heartfelt pleas she spurned him again and that for me took the edge off the story, but only slightly.The biggest frustration for me was the last 20% of the book. It felt rushed and I was hoping the story would develop around Travis' new found relationship with his brother. I wanted to know more about how the cartel would be brought down and not that it simply had. All the while Thomas was struggling to deal with the way Travis now saw him, Liis was still dismissive of his emotions and I wanted to scream at her to give him some support, a hug, or even just a few words of comfort.All in all though, this was another really enjoyable instalment from Jamie McGuire, I love those Maddox brothers and simply can't get enough.Reviewed on behalf of Jezabell Girl & Friends...

Jamie McGuire is certainly spoiling us with these Maddox boys, first we were introduced to Travis, then along came Trenton and now there's Thomas.And it could just be me, but with every book I find myself in love with a different brother.Beautiful Redemption introduces us to the eldest Maddox brother, Agent Thomas.Married to his career and focused on climbing the career ladder, Thomas is hiding not just a broken heart but a few other secrets too.Then he meets Liss Lindy and life starts to get a whole load more complicated...Thomas Maddox is incredible, a true Maddox boy, when he falls he falls hard.But as the eldest, Thomas seems to feel that it's his responsibility to look after his brothers a task that brings him emotions he shouldn't have to face.The way in which Thomas thinks about his mother, shows that he was greatly effected by her and the build up to her death.What I loved most about this book is the fact that we were surrounded by all of the Maddox men, which was a dream come true for me!But enough about the men (I can't believe I just said)....Liss our narrator for the story, is a wonderfully feisty character. I loved her ability to handle herself and situation that is thrown at her and as much as I hate to admit it, I really loved discovering the chemistry that she and Thomas had.Beautiful Redemption is a gripping tale of passion and romance, a story that burns with intensity and desire....
