Aluminum 1,000 chip capacity poker chip case

I dunno what everyone else is saying, but this case is perfect. it fits a little over 1000 pieces btw. It has held up great. its durable. i wish it had rollers on it cuz when the case is full...its heavy! but o well. I give this 5 stars cuz it deserves it.

Just what I expected. The aluminum was in great shape. The inside of the case was perfect for my poker chips as well.

It does not open up all the way but it opens far enough where it does not matter. The foam on the top lid does a nice job. The chips don't slosh around like with other cases we have. It has plastic slots which are good because wood ones wear down

Bought this to accommodate my 800 chip set but sadly didn't last very long cos the locks broke after 3 months.The inside is fine but the locks could not handle 800 chip weight, so how is supposed to hold 1000 chips ?I am already looking for a better quality chip case. Better spend money on something of better quality.

Decent design and all. But beware its not built to last. Easily damaged, made of weak material.

I was looking for a good case to hold my chips as my two older ones were wearing out. This looked like a good deal and had plenty of storage. The case is wanting in some areas. The biggest one is that the lid does not open more than about 1/3 of the way up. So you need to hold the lid open as you take or put back the chips. The upper 'egg crate' foam is not attached to the inside of the lid so in the 'open' position this piece droops down. It can be glued into place.The case appears to be sturdy and it holds a lot of chips and card deck and dice. There are three latches that can be locked - not sure what for.I am debating on keeping it and may see if the lid is a defect or part of the design. My older cases opened fully giving a good spot to lay the chips out for the players in even stacks. That is a really nice feature.Overall the case is not worth the $50 list price. Not sure if it is worth the discounted price - yet.Update:Upon contacting the seller they suggested gently pulling the lid open. It turns out that the lining needs to be stretched for the lid to open further. I did this and now the case opens further but not all the way flat as I would like. The dice and cards tend to move around a bit I have also found when transporting. The case is probably worth $30. I am also most sure it won't last as long as my other cases (~30 years) but maybe.PS - The seller was very prompt in answering my question and even offered to replace the case no charge if it was damaged during the 'break in' task.

Pluses and Minuses.Plus - perhaps one of the best packaging jobs that I have ever seen. The product came promptly and was shipped in it's own box and was framed in custom shaped styrofoam. No way this thing was going to be damaged in shipping.The foam on the top lid does a nice job. The chips don't slosh around like with other cases we have.Minus - I echo one of the other reviews. The top lid does not open all of the way. It opens about 135 degrees (if 0 degrees is closed and 180 degrees is fully open with the lid laying flat.The case is not exactly high strength. Fortunately for us, we keep our chips in one location, packed away, so I don't think this will be a problem. I would be a lot more concerned if we were going to cart these cases around.Overall - not a great case, but at the discout price, it is a fair deal.
