Let me start off by saying I love this boot
Let me start off by saying I love this boot. What first caught my eye was the yellow laces contrasting with the reddish brown leather. I loved the look. The second thing that caught my eye was the sale price of $90. I am a size 10.5 M US all day long. The sizing for these boots is a bit strange. I opted for the "10-10.5" size. When I received them and put them on I noticed that they were a bit too snug. I sent them back and got size "11-11.5". They fit perfectly. The main things that stuck out to me upon the unboxing were 1) they felt extremely light weight, but NOT cheap kind of lightweight; 2) They have a "custom made" quality/look about them. The sole is double stitched and there was no writing inside the boot. The only thing to indicate the size was a small "44" (which I assume is the Euro size) imprinted on the sole of the boot. One other thing to point out is that there is very little cushioning from what I am accustomed to when I buy boots. Normally this may be a deal killer for me, but after wearing them a few days I do not notice. I find them to be very comfortable. They are not insulated, but I found wearing thick wool socks was just fine in cold weather. They are also waterproof, with a sewed tongue all the way to the top of the laces, although I have not tested them in water yet.I did some research and found out these are actually made in Turkey, not in Norway as one may expect from the manufacturer's name. This is a non-issue for me because of their quality. You can tell that they paid a lot of attention to detail when crafting these boots. If you can afford the retail price, I say go for it. I am very satisfied with the $90 sale price I paid. All in all, they are a really well-made, good looking boot. One important thing to note: DO NOT USE LEATHER PROTECTOR SPRAY ON THE BOOTS. I did and had to exchange them. It turned the beautiful reddish brown leather to a dry, whitish looking leather. I am going to try some Dr Martens Wonder Balsom on them. Hopefully that will give them the protection they deserve.
