This is a lovely large, heavy book, perfect for the man who has everything, including tons of watches.

purchased as Xmas gift really smart looking book great quality. Purchased for a watch nut so think he will have many happy hours reading. Only thing I would recommend is you have better packaging for delivery as edge of sleeve a bit damaged.

As a picture book it works but why oh why is the text so ridiculously small..?..!!.It's a real shame considering the books largedimensions and the obvious scope to have increased the font size.

I ordered one copy, and inside the pages had been damaged. The replacement was only slightly better with again damage to a couple of pages. I gave up in the end. I may try again at some point when I feel like the supplier may have changed. Sorry couldn't be more positive however if book and case were undamaged it would be a lovely book to own.

The book itself is gorgeous. No two ways about it. Watches and story telling go together perfectly and this is a beautiful example of how to visualise that in print.My copy however arrived so tightly in the cardboard sleeve that it took an entire afternoon of careful wiggling to get it out only to discover a (all be it small) mark on the back of the book. It is now too late 17th to change for another before Christmas .... great shame.

Splendido è l'unico aggettivo che si può usare per descrivere questo libro.Il volume è di grandi dimensioni e molto pesante (per la carta di ottima qualità usata nella stampa). E' diviso in tre sezioni: Stars At Auction (selezione di alcuni tra gli orologi di maggior successo nelle aste per collezionisti - Rolex, Patek Philippe, altri Rolex, altri Patek Philippe...), Watchmaking At The Highest Level (una selezione tra gli orologi di alta gamma - Jaeger-LeCoultre, Patek Philippe, Breguet, Vacheron Constantin), Watches For Heroes (orologi indossati da persone famose o in eventi importanti - Omega, Rolex, ancora Omega, ancora Rolex...). Ogni orologio è presentato con una breve descrizione e con fotografie impeccabili.Non è un libro per chi vuole informazioni tecniche esaustive (per questo ci sono altri volumi) o per chi vuole conoscere i movimenti e le complicazioni. Non ha la pretesa di presentare tutti gli orologi che dovrebbero essere presenti in ciascuna delle tre categorie sopra descritte. E' una piccola selezione a discrezione dell'autore, presentata in modo impeccabile e arricchita dal sapere di due mostri sacri quali Aurel Bacs e Jean-Claude Biver.A mio giudizio un libro da avere e leggere assolutamente insieme ad altri più tecnici.
