Genuine Joe GJO11952 Stainless Steel, Mirror-Finish Classic Vacuum-Insulated Carafe with Thumb Lever Lid, 1.2L Capacity, Steel/Gray

I bought this carafe under false presentations. I like to read the remarks customers have about the items I'm about to order. For this carafe, someone submitted that it held the coffee HOT til the next day. HA! I'm lucky if it stays warm until noon if I brew the coffee at 7 A.M. Well, I guess all of Amazon's products can't all be rated 10 on a scale of 1-10. I would rate this one 4!

As you pour out coffee past a certain point, the remaining cup or two will cool down to warm. It needs to be half full or more to stay hot. It looks nice and would be good for serving a refill during breakfast, but not for what I wanted, which is a hot second or third cup throughout the morning.

This carafe is just what I needed. Keeps my coffee hot and pours easily. Unlike many I have had, you do not need a jar opener to remove the lid when you are finished. The only negative which it shares with every other one I have had is that the lid will be hard to clean. I wish someone would make an easily disassembled lid. After a while, I usually just buy a new carafe because I don't know what is going on inside the lid where I can't see or clean. But this one is no worse than the much more expensive ones I have bought.

My hubby broke me carafe and I needed a new one that would break if dropped. Stainless steel was a great choice and I was thrilled to get it. It works well and keeps your coffee hot. I didn't give it 5 stars because the cap part of it seems a little flimsy. And it drips after pouring a cup of coffee. Otherwise, this is a great item.

Doesn't keep coffee hot very long

I needed a coffee thermos to take the coffee out of the press as soon as it was steeped. I suggest pre-heating the little Joe with hot tap water while your coffee is steeping, it keeps your second cup from cooling off, not to mention getting it off the grounds, lol!Keeps the 2nd cup toasty warm, easy to remove and replace and operate the screw on lid. Unbreakable, ( Well, I guess I haven't tried creative ways to break it though) ie no glass parts.

I love this stainless carafe! I use a french press to make coffee and you need to pour the coffee out as soon as it's done brewing or it will get bitter. Plus I make 2 pots in the morning. When my water is heating for my french press, I run hot tap water into the carafe to heat it up. My coffee stays hot in there for hours. In fact, it's still warm the next morning if there is any left in there. It's perfect, light weight and doesn't take up too much room.

I really like it. Some reviews said it was cheaply made. I disagree, seems very well made and very attractive looking. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the inaccuracy of the feature description claiming a flip top. There is no flip top, it's a screw on top. But still a great product at an unbelievable price. I'd buy it again.
