This book was a very helpful tool and guide to Reiki that I really needed. It was easy to read and constantly reiterated what was being taught so that the reader is always on cue with the context.I would prefer if there was a small assessment at the end of the book, it would have been just a bit more exciting and reassuring to a certain degree.As a result of this book I am now able to practice Reiki. Can't wait to get to Reiki 2!

I found this so interesting that I bought the other two books. I knew very little about Reiki and this book was a great overview of the subject. While, it is not detailed and the reader will not learn completely how to perform Reiki it gives you much information on the subject. It is not a long read but it well worth its money if you have an interest in learning about Reiki and self healing.It may just inspire you to become a master of Reiki so you can help others as well as yourself. Great read.

This was very clear and concise for Reiki 1 students and I appreciated the neutral language and clear directives. I used this for my first Reiki 1 class and will continue to recommend for future students.

This book has an amazing depth and concepts! It sets a great foundation by telling the story of the origins of Reiki, which at first you might want to skip as so many books always seem to fill pages with histories; but the story told in this book is quite compelling and necessary to know in my opinion. There is no fluff, it is engaging!The overall tone and intuitive feel of the content is of a very high frequency. If you are called to learn about Reiki and you have been led to this book series...you have found your home.

I found this book to be very informative. Very easy to follow, explanations are simple and clear. I would heartily suggest reading this before and after taking a Reiki 1 class. It will give you a great foundation of knowledge to go into the class with as well as be a great support after taking the class. The best part is that it remains true to the Usui teachings.

Best intro book I've read. I am already certified but stopped practicing a few years back. Needed something to get me back in the groove. This book was exactly what I needed. I would recommend to anyone - beginner or experienced.

I had heard about reike as a healing practice and was curious about it. Real or bogus? Essence of Reiki is easy to understand with illustrations I've gotten comfortable with the self practice and it's great. I also recommend reading this so you will be informed if you are looking for a practitioner/healer.

I have had reiki a handful of times and I have friends that take reiki but this was my first book about it. I bought it because it had great reviews. My boyfriend wanted to try reiki but was reluctant. But those reiki 1 classes are expensive since he is out of work. I am taking my reiki 1 class next month. So we bought this and we're very shocked that at the end of the book the offer a fiscal attunment! So for a lucky number (I know they will block out a price), he set up an appointment for a half hour to get an attunment by the author. That is the real reason I gave this 5 stars! Because yes there are typos. My boyfriend noticed them, I didn't. He said he has felt different from it, like the book says. He will be attending his firs reiki share this week. My friend is hosting and said it will be good or him to get some hands on practice.

This level one manual was very helpful to aid learning with my students. Gary and Adele Malone are very clear and detailed in their explanation of theory and the practical application was communicated very well in this manual. I will continue to use with my students BBQ nd also move them on with the level 2 manual.

A beautifully written book using simple language. The Reiki technique has been very nicely explained. The quotes are very refreshing and thought provoking. A must read for all those who want to experience the healing world of Reiki🙏

Well written Reiki Manual. Clear instructions and photographs.The index has page numbers but unfortunately they have been missed on the pages themselves which is a shame.
