Be careful with this stem
Installed this stem on a carbon mountain bike with RXL SL carbon bars. Torqued to the required 5nm. After less than 30 miles the stem was making loud cracking noises and this was the result. Cracks all around the set screws. I have used RXL SL carbon products before with great success, but am very disappointed in this one. While I believe the structural integrity of the stem remained intact, (carbon coating over metal) I cannot continue to use or recommend this stem and I am still uncertain regarding the safety of any product which does this.

Crap
Well it seemed like a descent enough stem exavtly what i wanted until i unscrewed the front plate and revealed two cracks in the carbon where the seats for the bolts are. C'mon man peole are not falling for it be reputable be a pioneer in the sea of retail garbahe and stop trying to sell this lame shotty atempt at a simple bike stem. I want to just unleash a flood or frustrations i have on shady irresponsible retail practices but im done with you now gimme my danm money back!!!!!!!!!!

Works great on my Caad 12 road bike
Works great on my Caad 12 road bike. Needed an uplift to relieve strain on my neck. Made a some what noticeable difference in vibration transfer from the road. Worth the money for that reason alone. Had light weight aluminum previously. It is about 7 grams heavy than my original al. stem. Got the 90/17. Had a 100/6.Bought some titanium screws to fit it too. Fit was great and threads great too. Shaved 6 grams with the bolts. So only a one gram increase. Not too shabby :)

No issues- works great for me
I put this on a road bike and put about 200 miles on it so far on medium smooth/rough country roads. Hit a few potholes now and then. No issues with the stem creaking / cracking, and it feels perfectly solid to me. Only comment is the grip on the handlebar is kind of weak so I had to use some rubber gasket to keep it in place without over-tightening the clamp screws.Edit: rubber gasket wasn't good enough. Ended up using spray-on adhesive to really lock it in place.

Great stem
I've ridden approximately 30 miles on gravel and some light single track on this stem. Torqued to 5nm wo any problems. Used carbon paste and bars haven't slipped yet. Hands feel a lot better going over the rough stuff since the stem absorbs some impact. I think I have felt some flex but it's so minimal that it is almost to notable. More to follow.

Does the trick, looks great. No complaints
Price/quality is excellent. To those that stripped the embedded threads, you cranked too hard. And the obvious question to you is this: why would you want to test the limit of a product that is obviously under priced because it is sure not to meet the quality control requirements of name-brand products?? Live and learn.

Might as well be made of rubber, so flexy
Was trying to find a creak in my bike so started applying pressure to the bars to isolate it and discovered this thing is UNBELIEVABLY flexy Like half an inch at the end of each bar end.Replaced with an aluminum stem and immediately felt the difference.

Pretty Solid for the Price
Great price and very solid build. Super easy to install, torqued both ends to 5 nm with use of fiber paste and after over 20 hours of ride time no movement whatsoever.Mainly road riding in NYC so do hit bumps on a regular basis.Overall, very happy with the item.
