Odd sync wiring. Easily fixable depending on your needs.
So, I read the reviews here and it seemed very mixed at best. I figured it's probably meant for a very specific use case and nothing else. It sounds like maybe it's wired for a very specific model of projector. It definitely wasn't right for what I needed, but it also wasn't that far off, either. My use case was to take an RGBS scart output and connect it to a magewell aio capture card, which takes vga or rgbs over its vga connector. If you're using RGBS, you send the sync over the "h-sync" pin. This actually seems to be a pretty standard scheme among devices which support both, they typically take H-Sync or C-sync from the same input, with V-Sync being separate. That said, this cable wasn't wired anything like that. The H-sync and V-sync from the vga connector were connected to a few normally unused pins. And the normal composite video/sync pin was not connected to anything. I suspect whatever this cable was meant to go with was basically using the scart cable to output actual vga and using a nonstandard sync pinout to do so. No matter, all I need to do to fix this was use my small jewelers needle nose pliers, squeeze the tab on the pins from the inside, and swap them around. In my case, I swapped the pin wired to H with the proper pin for C-sync, and simply disconnected V-sync entirely. Also, i did not notice the 5v pin connected to ground as another review said. It looked to be left unwired in my case. In fact, the only real issue was the sync wiring, which was a trivial fix.Overall, it's working exactly as I'd hoped after swapping around those pins. I think they could have seriously used some better description as to what the wiring actually is on this cable, but ultimately what i found is that the vga side has everything hooked up that you'd typically need, it's the scart side which might be off for many people, but its also the side which you can swap around easily without any resoldering.I'd probably only buy this if you have the DIY skills to modify it in the inevitable case that it's not quite right (and chances are high...)

No VGA signal / Found out it is not designed for DVD SCART to VGA Input
Tried to use the cable for my former DVD to my new TVUsed a PC VGA output to test the proper connection to TV. All good. This cable doesn’t work from the DVD to the VGA input. Looks like that I have the same bad experience as other customers before me.Check out Scart/ Hdmi to Hdmi Video Converter Box 1080p Scaler 3.5mm & Coaxial Audio Out instead.
