Best belay device I have used!
I climb regularly and used other belay devices in the past. I had multiple friends recommend the Grigri, but didn’t initially buy due to the cost. After purchasing, I wished I would not have waited. The Grigri is amazing, solidly made, easy to use, and best I feel safe. Top marks on this one! I highly recommend!

Awesome grigri
Works perfectly for lead or top rope belay. Use it weekly and it is still in great shape 3 years later with no issues. Would buy again. No complaints. Came all the way from the Czech republic!

Great added safety
If you're already looking at these then you know you probably want it. The GriGri is known for being a great device and I will reiterate that fact. I used this on a recent climb trip to Red River Gorge with my family who are all new. I wanted a bit of extra security after teaching them all how to belay me, particularly because I can be up to twice the weight of some of them and wanted to add a layer of safety.Sure enough, I took a small fall while leading and sent my wife into the air (nothing crazy but enough to startle her) the GriGri cam grabbed as it should and she was able to quickly recover. I'd happily recommend this for belaying and the added safety it can provide.

Expensive, but worth it.
Climbing is a blast! And belaying a climber is a major skill needed for any type of climbing.Love my GriGri. It’s assisted braking is a nice upgrade, and it also gives a little added comfort to a nervous climber.Easy to use and sturdy. No issues.If not for the price, I’d probably get 2 or 3. (I have 3 ATC’s since they’re on the cheaper side) but a GriGri is a great purchase for any climber. Fun stuff.
