I have owned cheap hanging scales from Walmart in the past. They have severed the purpose and were accurate. The difference are the controls and the options and the beautiful construction in all aspects. You are getting your money's worth here - one needs to see and hold it to fully appreciate it - it is a heavy duty scale. One needs go on the company's web site as the photo is wrong. The Bar at the top is made of high-end aluminum. I love the 'hold' feature.

Bought this for the 25 inch crappie I always (never) catch. At least I look professional.

My husband first used this scale on a friends boat. He liked it so much, that he hounded me to get him one. He bragged about it so much, a fellow spear diver said he had to have one too. This cause me to purchase a second one for his friend. I really feel like this scale is a good buy, just by the way the guys get so excited about it. Of course this is a third hand review.

Great tool, very accurate

Scale works great. I use it for weighing fish.

Works well and is extremely accurate but does not contain any paperwork that backs up the manufacturers claim of it keeping up (storing) your creek and allowing you to easily store / recall them. It simply has a small single sheet that tells how to power it on in three different languages.
