61810 Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic Mount Kit with 10" J-Hooks

Ingenious design, works very well for multiple sizes (Including group 65)

This review pertains to any of the Braille FRP mounting kits (6", 8", and 10"). It does not matter if it comes from Amazon, Amazon marketplace, or a local vendor.I had to contact Braille directly to confirm. Braille no longer (it sounded like the sub occured awhile ago) sources stainless steel J-hooks for these kits. They are now building these kits with cheap chrome plated J-hooks. Amazon needs to correct their description to reflect this. Braille, YOU need to update your website to reflect correct produce details instead of suggesting a premium feature. My real complaint is that these are really just cheap chrome plated steel J-hooks that were probably removed from the cheap "made in china" bilster card and placed into these kits. You can get the sam echeap "made in china" J-hooks at local auto parts store for $3-$4 out the door. That move really irks the crap out of me and has some negative affect to my opinion on their main product (batteries).

As another reviewer mentioned, the j-hooks and wingnuts may not be stainless anymore. I just couldn't tell since mine looked like they -might- be.That said, I put the kit on a 2004 Subaru Outback 3.0 and they worked great. Since the bracket is plastic and will never rust, I can't imagine ever needing to replace the setup. It looks so much cleaner than the rusty nasty mess. And, when I have to take out the battery for any reason, its easy and mess-less.
