Board to End All Boards
In a happy accident, the B.B. Ginger Ale has become my favorite longboard of all time. If you use the right components, your days of riding anything else around town, including your bike and car, are over. This six-star A++ review started with me being pissed off from the moment the package arrived. I have purchased or built some twenty boards in my lifetime in all materials from all corners of the country. This flaming bag shows up on my front stoop in an oversized box so shredded I literally reach in and remove the board. The thing is featherweight and thin, literally an ankle-biting 2-ply thickess at the deck's edge. Worst of all, after all the waiting I'm left with an eco-friendly primadonna with earth-hugging endcaps too big for my trucks to fit, not to mention mount given that I don't have mounting hardware this short. Grrr...Enter my junk bin, stage right. After some tinkering, I find that 1/2" soft rubber risers are just barely tall enough to fit my 150mm trucks, hangars just narrow enough to shield the wheels when pushing. Speaking of wheels, that two-ply thick deck allows me to mount 90mm Flywheels with that thick, soft thane Abec11 is famous for. Speaking of thick and soft... we're up to nearly an inch of rubber between me and the road on a board that's way stiffer than a full-size flexy-flier. Throw in a set of carefully selected bushings and it's like we share the same mind.My night-ruining amazon package left the basement that day as a strange and wonderful combination: smaller than a skateboard, more stable than a 40" topmount longboard; responsive like aluminum with all the road vibration of a red rubber ball; lower than a ground-hugging drop-through yet flying on wheels so large that pea gravel becomes sand. Durable, comfortable, fast, controllable, and unbelievably nimble for aggressive carves and hard corners. The only thing I don't like is that my little ginger-ale is only 8" wide with a 17" footbase, but its' whimsically small size is its charm. I'm looking at getting a slightly larger version for pleasure cruising and keeping my round-edged Yocaher for downhill/freestyle, but every other board I've got is marked for new homes: Beercan Boards are just that good.P.S.: The customer service is great if you have problems or just a boatload of questions.P.P.S.: I hate "environmentally friendly" junk. I love quality, which is always environmentally friendly. BB makes quality stuff... out of recycled materials. Imagine that.

Solidly made but very small foot area.
I am used to riding 35-41 inch boards and was surprised just how much I dislike having limited foot space. I also have a 28" Landyachtz Dinghy and it does not feel as restrictive (because lack of curved foot rest) as this board. This is a very good starter board for a child or a small woman (5' 3" or smaller). I am a taller gal and feels like I am standing legs closed. I recommend using some MCB or the like shock pads, Orangatang Orange Caguama's or OwlSome 90mm wheels and some Gullwing SIdewinder 2 trucks.Still Beercan Boards makes awesome decks. I would highly recommend any of their boards along with a Yocaher Aluminium. Beercan is made sturdier, and has finger holes designed to make carrying easier, but both are great buys.

Lots of vibration, but a great car board
Doesn't ride like a normal wood deck. Transmits a lot of vibration through the board, and there's very little flex. It just feels rough when riding, but it's a nice size, lightweight, and has finger holes for carrying. It won't warp or get weak in the trunk of my car since it's aluminum. It's perfect to just leave it in the car trunk for those times you feel like skating a little.
