This book is great for getting your feet wet. If you have already started growing this book won't tell you too much. It will make you feel a little more comfortable about the area tho

unless you are interested only in this chapter, buy instead "Bonsai Trees". this book is just one of all the books that are slapped together in the Bonsai Trees one...

I quite like the booklet because it focused on a rarely discussed topic for bonsai enthusiasts. However, the lack of illustrations diminished a bit is quality

Great introductory book to the subject of bonsai from seed and well worth the money I spent on it. Good value for money and I have some Judas trees, Scots pine, red maple and another variety (the name escapes me) seedling now. Happy customer.

Good and informative but really more of a guide to growing trees as there are no real instructions on how to train or prune into a bonsai tree. Pretty much only useful for the list of trees that work well I feel. Will need another book on how to train the trees.

All of this information can be found on the Internet and furthermore lots more can be found there than is in this tiny little pamphlet. For the price of this you can buy books and for much less Google will direct you to this information.

Poor, Frequently omits key details. For example it says to take measures to protect trees from pests - I am buying the book to find out which pests might attack trees and what measures to take. It says some trees are ready to prune or train after 2 years - which ones? how can I tell if its ready? I'm a complete beginner but I still learned next to nothing from the book. Now I have to buy another book to find out these basics.

Gives some good advice, not as comprehensive as I expected but worth a read. Bit on the short side for the price however.
