It probably won't cut it if you're looking for something like an otter box. If you'd like to be able to know if your phone will most likely be okay drops off the table, counter, couch or out of your pocket, this is probably a good choice. The front is not protected but if falls on a fairly flat surface the raised rubberize edges take the brunt of the impact. All other sides are fairly well protected. The materials also have a high enough friction to keep it from easily being pushed off a smooth surface (courtesy of pets or wee ones), but not so high as to make it difficult to get in and out of your pocket or purse.

I just got this today, so I can't speak to the long-term durability, but the initial look and feel of it has me optimistic. The black base is a soft silicone/rubber or something, and the colored case plastic, which is a great combination.One review mentioned that if you have to get to your phone battery a lot (I did when my last phone started crashing), constantly removing the case causes the plastic and rubber pieces not to fit together as well over time, so that's something to keep in mind.Some folks have complained of a weird smell, but I didn't experience that.Other complaints said it's not very durable after a few months, but seriously, I paid $7 for this thing, so if I have to replace it 6 months from now, fine with me!

Case protects phone great. doesn't impede texting or call sound like some of the others I reviewed. my only complaint is it isn't filed by amazon so it took twice as long to arrive as items I ordered the same day, even though it said it shipped before they did. Also they didnt provide. tracking number to track the package. i am anal about tracking my packages so would have liked that. Case is great though. Good product I would order again and recommend. it did arrive before they said it would

I have a Samsung Boost M830 and had a hard time trying to find a case for it. Otterbox did not make any for this model that I could find and besides they were really expensive ($30 range). Well, I surfed Amazon and found this one and based on the other highly rated reviews, I decided to purchase it and I was not disappointed. It's not bulky and protects the phone quite well and gives you the grip you need and is stylish. It has two types of materials that give you a comfortable grip on the phone. As of yet I have not dropped my phone, but I'm confident that this case would protect it.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this case given I only paid a dollar plus shipping for it. The case has soft silicone gel on the inside and a hard rubberized shell on the outside. The phone slipped in the case easily and the case fits snugly. All the cutouts are exactly where they should be to give access to the charger port, sd card, microphone jack, camera, and speaker. I've had the case a month so far and it seems very durable. This case is a great deal, but you should shop around dealers on here (several have this same case) to get the best price.

I rated it 4 stars because it looks like it would protect my phone from damage to some degree. I have dropped it since putting this case on, so far so good. I don't think it would withstand a car running over it, but I don't think even an otterbox could withstand that. I like the design and how cool it looks. I have received praises for it haha. I recommend this product.

LOVE this phone cover. My only complaint is that it had a gouge scratched out of the back when I got it in the mail. But I didn't want to wait another 10 days or more to return it and get a new one, so I kept it. Not bulky, very good at protecting the phone, I used an IQ Shield screen protector and have had no problems at all.

I purchased this phone protector maybe 8 months ago! Im a guy so I carry my cell phone in my pocket. Its some sort of heavy duty rubber reinforced with plastic corners. All the rubber buttons are in the right place and well labeled. It fits very snug not sloppy like some. It just seems like part of the phone. Still in like new condition. I don't have a home phone, so my cell is in constant youse! Highly recommend! And the price through Amazon, even with the minimal shipping fee, now after 8 months, I would have happily paid 3 times the amount at some Mall kiosks!!
