2 week review of 3rd party grip
Initial review on 2-6-2015I purchased this 2 weeks ago because Nikon refuses to stock their grip. I was more than ready to shell out $400 dollars for a piece of plastic that doesn't give me more fps but just a more stable platform since me hands are on the bigger side and extended battery life. I had had the orginal grip on load from NPS for a month but reluctantly had to send it back even though I waited for more than 2 months for the grip to be sold in stores in quantity. I was very leery to go 3rd party but a review from a colleague on this particular grip was good enough for me.Initial thoughts after 2 weeks. The price was a big factor in me purchasing this. $80 with Prime is a no brainer. Does it work? Yes. I have used it on 4 jobs so far and have had zero issues. It fits perfectly and the command and sub command dial work flawlessly. The battery life has not been an issue at all. I've included 2 images. 1 from after my first event and then a 2nd. I hadn't charged the battery between them and as you can see no drain on the main. The only thing that's remotely different is the shutter button on the grip. It doesn't have the same click that the original has. It's not better or worse, it's just different. For a savings of $300+ I'm very ok with that.I'll report back within a month and during the year with updates.

Better than I thought it was going to be.
Connected mine on Dec 28 2014, A fresh Nikon Original battery in both camera and grip and I still have 67 % left on my internal battery and 9% on my battery MK-DR750 (01-09-15). I am quite happy with this. I was worried I would have to send it back, but It is secure and is not heavy. I have not used the 2.4 wireless as I have used the camera's built in wi-fi and the Nikon phone app so I can not comment on that.

So far so good. Fit and build quality seem quite nice
So far so good. Fit and build quality seem quite nice. I bought two. Both work fine. Radio trigger worked at 600+ feet. Wired trigger...does what its supposed to.Jury will be out until battery life issue i encountered with the crappy vertax pixel brand grip (which everyone that has one shows it kills the in camera battery even if turned off) is sure not to be repeated here.......but so far so good! Battery installed for 6hrs...no loss of in camera battery whatsoever so far. Fingers crossed. For the guy above....you might check that the grip battery is seated correctly and "clicks" into place. Might be a simple solution.

So far so good.
I attached mine to my D750 without issue. No problems with it so far using an additional EN-EL15, and no drain that I have seen on the internal battery. Using Eneloop AA's, I don't get much battery life, but I don't blame that on the pack. It feels sturdy, the rubber gripping material is sufficient, and it helps balance the camera better. The shutter button, scroll wheels and navigation buttons work without issue as well.

Pleasantly Surprised
I'm very happy with this battery grip. I haven't seen Or held the genuine Nikon battery grip but for the price difference I can't imagine I would like the Nikon better. This one fits well, feels solid when mounted, and works just fine for my needs. Normally I will pay extra for genuine Nikon products but in this case I was pleasantly surprised by the Mcoplus Grip.

For the Price compare to OEM..This is pretty good
For the Price compare to OEM..This is pretty good. I have be using this grip for a minute. It's not prefect but for the cost i don't need perfection. I just need it to work. And it does well. I posted a video on You Tube. type in search for Battery Grid for Nikon D750 - Meke MK-D750. Will can see better detail.

Incompatible with my D750
There seems to be an incompatibility with this battery grip and my D750. The memory card light blinks every few seconds when using a battery in the grip but not in the camera, wearing down the battery in two days. Camera sometimes doesn't recognize the grip battery at all. Random blinking "ERR" status and the only way to reset the camera is to remove the grip completely (this is NOT a lens communication issue). There are many similar reports on the internet from other D750 owners. The unit itself seems very rugged and high quality, and I love the remote control function so I am very sad the grip causes my camera to flake out as I was truly hoping I wouldn't have to pay the astronomical cost for the Nikon brand grip, which has fewer features but does guarantee support and compatibility. One star because I had to return the unit. I can't afford to have an unreliable device on my camera.

Sending it back. Problems outweigh usefulness.
Does not work correctly with my D750. I have the D750 set to use the battery in the grip first, then switch to the in-camera battery. Using two fully charged batteries and checking the battery status after around 200 or so exposures, the exposure count is shown under the grip's battery level indicator just as expected, but that battery is still at 98-100% while the in-camera battery has dropped to around 85%. So it is ignoring the camera's setting to use the grip battery first. Also, the segmented battery icon on the camera's top display blinks constantly even when batteries are fully charged. When the grip is removed, the blinking stops. I will say that functionally it operates fine in a shooting situation and the RF remote works nicely. But the drawbacks are enough for me to send it back and order another, hoping that I just got a bad copy. If the replacement does the same I will update here, bite the bullet, and order the Nikon brand grip.
