Informing and Enjoyable
The book fully covers an important and serious subject. At the same time learning, yet nearly like a great conversation. Love the great flow and thought of this author. Will be adding more of her books to my library.

Excellent recipes for canning.
It is difficult to find good recipes for canning meat products, so this book is a great find. It has excellent recipes I have not seen elsewhere. If I had a complaint, it would be that the book should be longer.

Five Stars +
This is a fabulous book. I’m a country boy. Both of my grandmothers canned. And my mother canned. (That’s what Victory Gardens were all about in WWII. Remember them?) And, since retirement 12 years ago, I’ve grown a garden myself and canned. But, where I have 100 canning jars, Daisy has 500. I have the old cookbooks, dating back to my great-grandmother, as well as the canning manuals. But Daisy provides recipes and tips that I’ve never seen before. Plus an easy, readable writing style. And honest answers. Reusable lids? Daisy says, “I have a confession . . . I have tried reusable lids and I really, really don’t like them.” Then she tells why. That alone saved me a lot more than the price of the book, I gotta tell ya.

Best canning cook purchase to date for my needs
I am a beginner at pressure canning and this book had a good amount of pressure canning recipes (many books are mostly about jams and pickles). The Author has a nice sense of humor and her recipes are interesting and appealing. I really like this book and would recommend for anyone who is interested in water bath canning (I am tempted by some of her jams) but also those who want to pressure can.

Good reference
This book is worth of a spot on your bookshelf. Even if you are not into prepping there are lots of good recipes for cooking one weekend to have easy food for your weekdays meals when things are rushed.Home canned food done like this is much more tasty than you would expect. If you don’t own a pressure canner and don’t plan to buy one you will likely not find much more than you could find in a regular preserving book like jams, pickles. It is the meals in a jar that make this worthwhile. Easy to read and understand, however, no photos if that matters to you.Recommend for anyone serious about actually canning.
