I follow the curly girl method and regularly use this hot head for my deep conditioning- either weekly or once every 3 weeks after I clarify. Especially if you are trying to nurse your damaged hair back to health, you need this cap. It will greatly speed up your hair health journey as it allows the products to penetrate much more effectively into your hair, instead of just sitting on top of the strands.It is super easy to use. After I am done in the shower, I put on my deep conditioning product then put on a clear shower cap. I microwave the thermal cap for 30 seconds on each side, then put it on over my shower cap for 20 minutes. My hair always comes out super smooth and silky. I then rinse the product off and style as usual.

I just got the cap today a decided to do a dry run before wash day since I was concerned about some of the lower ratings. My hair is thick and coily, but past me shoulders when straightened.The size of the cap is fine for adults. I like that it fit pretty snug over all my hair.It warmed nicely in the microwave and provided gentle heat as promised. I didn’t get a full 30 minutes, so I will add more heating time to account for my low wattage microwave.The stitching pattern is fine. The flaxseeds stayed well in place due to the snug fit.The weight is reasonable. No strain on my neck when sitting and reading or typing this review.I appreciate not being trapped near the wall to use my blow dryer for a deep conditioning. I’m looking forward to using this cap on wash day and expect fabulous results.

I HAVE VERY THICK NATURAL HAIR AND NEEDED SOMETHING TO LET ME DEEP CONDITION WITHOUT SITTING UNDER A DRYER LOL. THIS PRODUCT IS COMFORTABLE AND ALLOWS ME TO DO WHAT I NEED AROUND THE HOUSE WHILE DEEP CONDITIONING MY HAIR. SUPER EASY TO USE. IT DOES NOT HOLD HEAT FOR A FULL 30 MIN IT HELD FOR ABOUT 15-20 MIN AND ITS WAS EASY TO JUST POP IT IN THE MICROWAVE AGAIN. IT DOES COME WITH INSTRUCTIONS AND SOME PLASTIC SHOWER CAPS BUT I HAVE A LOT OF HAIR AND IT DID NOT COVER ALL OF MY HAIR SO I EITHER DOUBLE THEM OR I GOT MY OWN PLASTIC CAP, BUT I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND WEARING A PLASTIC CAP UNDER THE THERMAL CAP. A GOOD PURCHASE EVERY NATURAL SHOULD HAVE!

I love this product. I actually take it to my salon w me & they apply the deep conditioning tx. & then she will heat up my cap & put it on & I get a manicure while the heat is soothing for 30 minutes! Such a treat! It fits me perfectly. I hv thick, curly hair-only chin length.If you hv long hair or lots of hair, you might want to order an extended size.Otherwise this product is a 5star IMO!

In my opinion, this isn’t for black women. The cap just nearly fit over my Afro texture hair. It doesn’t stay warm for long enough and because of the wait of the beads, I felt as though the “warming” properties mainly worked to open the pores of my scalp rather than the hair follicle itself. It’s no replacement for a hair dryer you sit under for deep conditioning treatments.

Absolutely amazing! I was worried I wouldn't be able to fit all my hair in, but it fits perfectly. This cap makes deep conditioning alot easier (I don't really enjoy deep conditioning with my hairdryer - too hot and loud) I've started using this once a week and do things around the house whilst using it, so its very convenient. Make sure you use the plastic cap first, then this heat cap on top, so you don't ruin the fabric with your hair product. Comes with a really cute gift bag, so I am going to buy a couple more for friends.

The elastic band failed, so it no longer stays in place on my head. I do not recommend this product.

I like the convenience of this cap. I use it when I deep condition after shampooing. I've also used it between washes. When my hair is a bit dry and I want to set it, I put a little avocado oil on my hair, cover it with the plastic cap and heat my conditioning cap for a minute and a half. After 30 minutes my hair is moisturized, soft and easier to manage. It is not greasy. I will be using this cap quite often.
