As advertised, good tool for PT
As a physical therapist I prefer to use the occluder to assess ocular alignment with this tool versus my hand or phone for the professional look. I use the Maddox rod portion less but when there is an underlying ocular deviation that is effecting my concussion patients recovery it’s nice to have

Not as represented in pictures
It is an occluder, so that aspect is correct. The misrepresentation is with the Maddox rod end of the device. These come in two different designs. The one pictured is of superb quality; works well with little optical distortion; and cleans with alcohol wipes without damage. The two that I received have a black holder on that end with a Maddox rod insert. This insert clouded and was completely ruined the first time we cleaned it with an alcohol wipe. It is now rendered worthless. Beware when ordering that you will. OT receive what is pictured.

GARBAGE. NOT AS ADVERTISED.
DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. The Maddox that was sent is not as pictured. They sent a cheaper version but kept the picture of the classic Maddox rod up. Refer to pictures of the item I was sent. If I wasn't so busy with my fellowship and prepping for boards, I would have returned the item. Now its too late and I am stuck with garbage.

What you see is NOT what you get
This is pictured and advertised as a BLACK occluder. It’s very clearly red with only a black portion for occluding. The only reason I am even giving it 2 stars is because it is actually an occluder and not completely a wrong item. For over $20 this is very junky. I am only keeping this because I am an opto student and have a proficiency next week needing a monocular occluder. Don’t recommend buying it unless you want a red occluder.
