The 3rd Brake Light Cargo camera is specifically designed for select Ford Super Duty trucks. Included plug & play "T" harness will allow to connect the third brake light replacement cargo camera to a factory screen (no dealer programming necessary) and will work with the factory tailgate backup camera (the truck must have a factory tailgate camera & a 8" factory radio). The included switcher is designed to default to the factory camera input as per FMVSS standards. When the input trigger is activated via toggle switch or a trigger generator, the third brake light camera will display. NOTE: This solution will not allow the driver to access the cargo camera at anytime. If the driver wants to access the cargo camera at anytime, THIS PRODUCT WILL NOT WORK. Screen blinks when using the factory rear camera
I bought this item a few months ago and just got time to install it. When I have the third brake light camera switched on everything works fine but when it is turned off the screen in the truck turns on and off when using the factory rear camera, also the backup guide lines are now gone when using the factory camera. Unfortunately I am past the time frame for returning the item to amazon. There is a one year warranty that says to contact the seller but I don''t see any way to do that.

Somewhat Simple Install
Not bad, took about 3 hours, I eliminated the provided switch and used one of my factory upfitter switch. Not impressed with quality of wiring, all very small wires, we will see how durable it is. Would also be nice to not have as many adapters needed to plug it all together, each connector adds signal loss. The good news is that this system would allow you to use any 12v powered RCA camera, so if you have a different camera you want to use you can do that. Plug and play with very minor vehicle mods, or if you have factory switches you can do it completely clean with a little extra time. Instructions are garbage, but all the wires were labeled and its simple enough.

Put it together after much trouble, didn't work.
Better instruction would help. But clear enough but product doesn't work.

Not Plug and play
Ok I got it to work. I had to replace the gasket on both parts. I shouldn’t have to do that. The camera works good but the hassle of having to modify your part and remove the gasket on the OEM part sucks. The cheap switch provided had to be eliminated and used the overhead switches in my truck. Definitely not a simple installation plug-and-play device.
