This may the best book for learning counseling techniques as an online student. The recorded sessions are helpful, along with the interactive questions during the recordings. Corey does a fine job in this book explaining things while using language that is easy for those of us without a PhD to understand. Watch the ISBN numbers as some institutions online classes are ONLY compatible to use what their bookstore sells, and it makes it difficult to shop for the better prices at Amazon!

This is the most comprehensive book I have read on different styles of therapy. Don’t expect to be an expert on any of the therapies, as it isn’t written for that. It just gives you the best brief summary that I have read. The online part of it is excellent. The mock interviews are excellent for providing a better understanding. The author is very impressive in his knowledge and his simple explanations; I only hope to be 2/2 as good as him one day

Buyer be warned! The access code is invalid.The text is useless without the mindtap access code. I am very disappointed and out of some hard earned cash.

The description and cost (same as the new version) of this product led me to believe it did include MindTap access, but it does not. Not helpful if MindTap access is required for your course.

Best text book I've ever used. Loved the on-line work. Don't rent it, buy it. You'll want to keep it.

I purchased this for my graduate class - I like the loose leaf version better than the bulky textbook - also much cheaper!
