Product seems fine. All paint still adhered when I got it, and after assembly, which is a good sign of quality. Some things that seem worrisome like the bad plastic "rivets" used to keep it from walking apart, but nothing horrible. The washers are two sizes too large. So large I worried about them, replaced a few. Bad for something overhead load bearing I think, to fail at this. The lagbolts appear to be structural screws, just chromed like old school lagbolts, so that's a good thing, though they have small heads so I used my own different screws to assure I was not relying on washers for pullout strength.Now, if you don't have a basic understanding of how mechanical items go, how to assemble stuff, etc. then don't expect IKEA simplicity. The instructions are very long, skip steps, are dense, are mostly illustrated with bad photos, but sometimes have unclear diagrams. They communicate precise steps, that only apply to one model, and are vague or ignore the other sizes. They assume 100% of users are going to install on finished ceilings, over garage doors, and never discuss any other cases so it is unclear what they expect of you then. Many parts have precise orientations, but you have to figure that out as they are not explained.I did not like that the two uprights are bolted together, with random size bolts. No pins or bolts sized to the keyway, so they can be tightened at any number of positions. I used this to level the shelf, but it's likely not as strong as a proper attachment such as the horizontal rails have with the uprights.The instructions came with multiple additional sheets saying stuff changed about installation which is at best confusing, but also untrue. One of those simply did not apply to what I got in the mail.Also be aware it showed up as two boxes, over a three day period. That was unexpected and confusing. Long rails come in one long box, all short rails and decking and hardware and so on come in another.

Racks are high quality, I’ve ordered others with paint coming off and holes which don’t line up. I ordered three of these racks and they went together easily. The install is pretty straight forward, I was able to get them all up by myself. My recommendation would be to use a socket adapter or drive socket for a drill so you don’t have to manually drive in all the screws. My only deduction is due to wire decking. The decking moves around by about 1/2” and I would have preferred they were in a fixed position. I added zip ties to each corner which was a vast improvement.

The instructions were generally good, and the final product was sturdy, but the flaws below made extra work:Flaw 1: The top of the center support is slightly higher than the channel beams, which makes the center wire decking wobbly. Installing the support upside down gets around the issue.Flaw 2: The decking is designed with small gaps in between each of the 3 pieces (this is noted in the instructions). However, because the decking is designed to slide freely, you can end up with the decking bunched together and a ~3 inch x 2 ft gap in one place, big enough to be an issue if you're storing smaller items. Evenly spacing the decking pieces and then zip tying them down so they can't move worked for me.Small annoyance: The slot head bolts and wing nuts for securing the center support were missing - I used 1/4" hex bolts from a different rack install.I have 3 racks from another manufacturer that didn't have these issues, so I won't be buying this brand again.

I had few racks installed in my garage n this one quality is about the same as others. Installations is the same as the other brands.

The installation is pretty simple and straight forward. Finding my rafters was the hardest part. I ended up using lag bolts from my local hardware store to put 2 x 4's on the ceiling. That gave me the leeway to move the rack to where it best fit and still was secured.

We installed 3 in our garage. Good purchase.

Arrived in two separate deliveries. Instructions are incorrect for the 2’X6’ model and give the wrong spacing. Instructions are missing steps. Instructions try to cross-sell additional attachments instead of show me how to install it. Photos are unclear. The wire rack is 1/4” proud over the center support so I’ll have to bend it in the vise to get it level. And there’s no way to get the rack to 15” without cutting the struts. Just a mess of lazy and disrespectful execution.

I love my shelves. I have 4 all together. (I had a handyman install them to be sure studs were used, etc.) I suggest the hooks that can be purchased separately. They are great and sturdy-not flimsy "S" hooks, and allow you to hang lawn chairs and all kinds of stuff from the overhead shelves. The customer service these guys deliver is awesome-quick and thorough answers to any questions.
