Don’t Bother Me, I’m Sleeping (Again)!
I’m working on getting old and yet trying not to become a major grump. But sleep issues were taking their toll because I just couldn’t get comfortable. I was decidedly underslept and overgrumpy. Then the joys of acid reflux were thrust upon me. Then the dry air took me as a victim and I navigated humidifiers, nasal inhalers, pills, oils, etc all in the name of breathing.I kept having flashbacks to a wedge pillow I’d tried years ago, but ultimately cast aside because it was hard and uncomfortable. Had I been rash in its exile? Or... had I just purchased the wrong wedge pillow?Enter the oddly named Gorilla Wedge Pillow. I spent a few sleepless hours searching and comparing before the advertised 2 inches of memory foam atop the firmer foam base lured me right into pressing the buy me button. My package arrived with the compressed pillow curled inside. Like any other foam product, it needed time to unfurl and “inflate”. A few hours after opening and my alarmingly flat pillow had inflated to a wedge of generous proportions. A few minutes later I was in full test mode, a few minutes after that I was asleep despite it being hours before my usual attempted bed time. This pillow is comfortable: a helpful, but not too steep, incline, no discernible demarcation “ridge” underneath me where the pillow meets the mattress, a soft, snuggly cover, and a comfortable layer of memory foam that’s just soft enough to allow me to sleep on my side in blissful comfort. I won’t be banishing this pillow to parts unknown! The only negative is now I want to oversleep more often because I’m so comfortable!

Super comfy! Finally found a wedge pillow that works!
I purchased this with hopes to help my acid reflux at night, instead of having to raise the top of our entire bed! It did the trick :) Since I am short "5'2, I am able to rest my entire torso on the wedge pillow to keep my spine in alignment, since I recently had a spinal fusion. I do use a soft bed pillow for my head at the top of it. I had to return a previous wedge pillow due to it being WAY to firm and uncomfortable, THIS ONE IS PERFECT! The memory foam is awesome, no odors, is wide, soft but yet very supportive. I love that it has a gentle incline at the bottom so you do not feel a firm drop off when sleeping on it. I also purchased a soft cotton pillow case cover that fits this one perfectly (InteVision 400 Thread Count, 100% Egyptian Cotton Pillowcase. Designed to Fit the 7.5" version of the Foam Wedge Bed Pillow (26" x 25" x 7.5") Super happy to finally be able to get a good night's sleep :) Great Product!

Comfortable but NOT 7.5 inches tall as advertised
I like this wedge pillow for its softness and memory foam comfort as it doesn't hurt my neck when I use a pillow with it. However, I've had it expanding for two days and it does not measure 7.5" as advertised and it only measures right at 6.5" instead, unfortunately. I was really hoping for a full height because I have GERD and need it a bit higher, but not as high as the other 12" pillows that were advertised along this one. I chose this wedge for the cost, plushness, and size overall.

Best for injury
So after purchasing 3 different type of elevated pillows this so far has been my favorite even with the negatives im about to explain. It is way to wide. Unless you NEED to put both feet up it definitely takes up too much space. I often hang my non hurt right foot off the edge so its not constantly upright. It is also a bit lower than I needed. You need severe elevation for surgery or badly injured extremities and unless I am lying down at a decline it is impossible to get below heart level. Lastly it does pullet which means it snags and makes little balls and string that come off everywhere especially cast. Even with all those little issues it is still the best injury incline pillow. It is super soft so does not cause any discomfort for injury which in my opinion is seriously the most important thing when you have to sit in the same position most of your day for months at end. I used a plush pillow or 2 when I really needed my foot elevated and it worked great. When I need space for my other leg I simply push it half off ottoman and they sit side by side nicely. It also is not that short! I am pretty tall which make for long legs that most things dont support but a good portion of my leg fits on this pillow without to much overhang. I would definitely recommend this pillow for casted or injured foot/leg. Seriously for the comort

comfortable to sleep on for acid reflux symtoms
Wedge pillow did not inflate all the way on the bottom, but does not seem to harm the working ability of the pillow itself. It came squished in a plastic wrapper, and was supposed to inflate on its own. If it had inflated all the way, I'd have given it 5 stars. It is comfortable to sleep on, I washed the cover before using because one review said the cover made her face break out. I do use a small pillow at the top to rest my head. I am using it for acid reflux symtoms which seem to have gotten better using the wedge pillow and following other recommendations such as not eating large meals, not laying down after eating, not eating before bed, losing weight, etc. I have noticed I haven't been waking up coughing during the night either.Updated review- took awhile for wedge to completely inflate but it finally did. Glad I bought it, would purchase again.

It arrived with discoloration, degradation of the foam. :(
Update: I really needed to sleep with a raised pillow, so I ended up putting the cover plus a wedge pillowcase on it, and tried it out. After a few days I really do like the comfort of it. It’s not too firm and I still get an elevation. It grosses me out a little that I’m laying on that foam that looks so bad, and I have to try not to think about it. I do wish the company had reached out to me to help.Original comment:Well, I like that it has no offensive smell. And it looks like it would be very comfortable.BUT, there is alot of discoloration and grossness along the seam on the bottom. Is this mold or water damage or rust or something toxic? It is also torn in a little spot. Is this used? I was hoping for a brand new product without degradation. I’m afraid to lay my head on it!How does one return such a large item? I’m so disappointed.
